1 Dear Making Strides Participant: On behalf of those who have been touched by breast cancer and those who have possibly averted a diagnosis altogether, thank you for your previous support of our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. When you participate, and fundraise, you are supporting the American Cancer Society s lifesaving mission to free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. It s a huge goal, but we are determined to achieve it. You can help us get there by joining us again at the 20 th Anniversary of the Making Strides of Harrisburg walk on Saturday, October 21 st on City Island. When you support this event, you are helping the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research, provide free comprehensive information and support, and help people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it s most treatable. As the walk quickly approaches, please start thinking about friends, family and coworkers who may be inspired to take part in the Making Strides experience with you. Sign up a team online at makingstrideswalk.org/harrisburg, and invite others to join you! In just a few easy steps, you can create your personal fundraising page and choose from a selection of tools and resources available to help you fundraise. Don t forget to lead by example and kick-start your efforts with a personal online donation. Then, everyone you know and ask them to join you in supporting this important cause! Whether you start a team or sign up to walk as an individual, we hope you ll join our community on October 21st for the 20 th Anniversary of the Making Strides of Harrisburg walk. As always, feel free to reach out to us at or at harrisburgpastrides@cancer.org with any questions you may have. Thank you for all you ve done and continue to do to help save lives! Best Regards, Kimberly, Jess & Kathryn Kimberly Hernandez and Jessica Moyer, Event Co-Chairs Kathryn DiPuppo Tucker, Event Manager Kimberly Hernandez (left), Kathryn Tucker (center) Jessica Moyer (right)
