3 SPRING GALA Baldoria on the Water Jefferson Center s annual spring gala brings together community supporters to enjoy an evening of celebration and entertainment. All proceeds help fund critical programs and services. In recent years, our sponsors have supported suicide prevention, school-based services for kids most in need, care for our veterans, community education through Mental Health First Aid, and lifesaving substance use treatment. 5 29th Annual Helping Kids Thrive Parent Conference Helping Kids Thrive is an incredibly popular parenting conference that offers practical tools, skills, and information for parents, families, caregivers, or anyone who works with children, from toddlers to teens. The conference gets rave reviews from attendees and sells out the same day registration opens. Your sponsorship of Helping Kids Thrive helps to offset the expenses of putting on this event so that we may continue to offer it free of charge to parents and caregivers in our community. 6 Mental Health First Aid Class Sponsorship Jefferson Center is committed to educating our community and busting the stigma associated with mental illness. Mental Health First Aid is the gold standard of mental health education for laypeople. It is an evidence-based program that addresses the stigma of accessing help and trains participants to recognize common mental health or substance use problems and develop the skills and the confidence to help. As an early adopter of Mental Health First Aid in 2009, Jefferson Center has trained more than 2,800 people from all across Jefferson, Gilpin, and Clear Creek counties, including veteran service organizations, schools, law enforcement, businesses, safety net organizations, caring citizens, and more.
