2 MESSAGE FROM EXALTED RULER TIM HILL This was certainly an interesting first month for me as ER. Lead my first general meeting went without too many hiccups but was also pleasantly surprised to see some new faces in attendance. Hopefully there will be more in future meetings. I m still starting up a committee to spruce up the lodge room. Come by the lodge room Tuesday nights at 7pm. My first month ended on a down note with my going to the hospital for a stomach infection. I was released on 4/29 and I am feeling much better. Thanks to everyone who came to see me and sent me well wishes

5 SHORT NOTES One thing we do during our general meetings are keeping in mind Elk members who are hospitalized or having serious medical issues. If you know someone like that contact me at ER TIM I'm starting a committee to give the lodge room a new look in advance of our 50th Lodge Anniversary celebration in August. We'll start meeting on Tuesday night weekly. At 7:00 If you have ideas or want to help with the actual sprucing come to the meeting or contact me at thill89@frontier.com. 6 SPRING FLING SPORTING RAFFLE On April 28, 2018 the Webster-Fairport Elks Lodge held a raffle from noon-4 PM at our Lodge 1066 Jackson Rd. The total net income from this 4 hour event was $ Thank you to each and every member that participated in this event in any way. Our Lodge is dependent on functions such as this to continue to be solvent. Our solvency is required in order to help out those in need of our support throughout our community. Give yourselves a big pat on the back for a job well done. See you at the Lodge. Thanks again! House Committee Notes: The House Committee chairs are looking for someone to run a sub-committee to maintain the outside area of the Lodge. This includes the lighting for the driveway and parking lot, the flower beds/trees, and the lawns. We will be setting up a training session for both the cook crews and the waitresses soon to make sure everyone has the most up to date information for Friday night dinners. Look for more information soon. Waitress/Waiters: If anyone knows of a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter who would like to earn dome extra money this summer and beyond, helping to serve Friday night dinner please give any contact information to Suzanne Orwen.
