We fulfill our mission by incorporating them into our programs: quality early childhood education, services for youth and community outreach to adults, families and seniors. These programs help us live out our mission to strengthen, empower and give voice to those in need in the Vincentian spirit of service through education and comprehensive programs to build vibrant communities in Chicago. Our Beacon of Hope Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 13, from 11:30 to 1:30 at the Union League Club in downtown Chicago. Steve Bogira, former Senior Writer at Chicago Reader will discuss the crucial role that Marillac St. Vincent's programs play in alleviating the violence that stems so often from poverty and segregation. Steve s presentation will be followed by a response from Hope Junior Staff Member LaToya Winters; who has been a part of the year round, extra curricular youth program at Marillac her entire life. We are excited to honor longtime volunteers and friends Jackie Langas and Kimberly Walters for all they have contributed to the Hope Junior program. We hope you will join us in thanking these women for making an impact in the lives of hundreds of children over three decades.
