2 EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH SERVICE & ADVOCACY President s Message Dear Zontians: A special thank you to all for your support and dedication to the Zonta Club of Utica. I am honored to be a part of such an amazing group of professionals, advocates, enthusiasts; women! Once again we have done a lot of great work. The service, membership, and advocacy committees have gone above and beyond developing community projects and providing supports. As we move forward, we will continue to build on the things we are doing well and find new ways to advance women s advocacy, education and health. It was wonderful to see new faces at our May meeting! Welcome new member Shannon Cayea, CEO Hospice & Palliative Care. There are also 2-3 prospective members that we anticipate joining by September! Please continue to think Centennial as prepare for an amazing celebration of Zonta. It s not too late to serve on the centennial committee. I will be sending out over the summer for a planning meeting. It s going to be fabulous and fun! As the year comes to a close, we will celebrate with our annual picnic on June 20th at 5:30 pm catered by Seymour s diner at Schuyler Commons. Enjoy our beautiful newsletter, and your summer! I look forward to seeing you soon!
