Information Presentation Health and Wellness Program Updates Brian Murphy, Coordinator, Student Support Services Department, Ceres Unified School District Mental Health program services include: Nurtured Heart, Student Assistant Program, Behavioral Health Clinicians, School Psychologists, Student Support Specialists, Social Skills Facilitators, Intern Clinicians, Point Break Program, and mentoring services. Physical Health services and programs include: Elementary PE (after school program sessions, too), School Nurses, Health Clerks, and the District Wellness Committee. Resources and referrals are provided through Ceres Healthy Start Community Liaisons. Al-ANON is also available to CUSD students and families. For more information, visit the Ceres Unified Student Support Services webpage at 2. Creating Community Solutions Health and Dental Services Updates Golden Valley Health Centers, Ana Haro and Deysi Flores Golden Valley Heath Centers is a private, non-profit health care organization serving Stanislaus County residents, including Ceres. Services are provided in the following categories: family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, family planning, internal medicine, ear, nose and throat specialist, dental care, health education, counseling services, laboratory services, optometry, pharmacy, and podiatry. Call to schedule an appointment. Also refer to the attached brochure for more information. 3. Upcoming Events City of Ceres: Parks and Recreation - Cambria Pollinger The City of Ceres Parks and Recreation Department has several upcoming events for the summer season. City Parks and Recreation Summer Program Schedule is being released in April. A one page announcement will be distributed to local schools. Mission Statement: The Ceres Community Collaborative is committed to meeting the needs of the families of Ceres and the surrounding community. We are dedicated to coordinating resources that empower and support individuals and families to learn and grow.
2 Concerts in the Park will resume this summer. The Voice of Ceres contest will be offered again for Ceres Youth. Ceres Parks and Recreation Department is seeking life guards for the summer swim program. Any person 16 years or older is eligible. Life guard certification and training will be provided by the City of Ceres. Ceres Youth Commission is seeking youth participants 7 th grade and up. If you have a community event please it to Cambria in pdf or jpg format. This event will be posted at the Vintage Faire Mall in a community event kiosk specific to Ceres. If you know of any youth between the ages of 16 and 18 who are seeking employment for the summer 2015 please contact the Project YES office at for more information.
