Individual Giving Officer Your job is to help us stop people dying from blood cancer, improve patients quality of life and stop people getting blood cancer in the first place. You will be successful in your role if you are as ambitious as we are about beating blood cancer. This new role is crucial in supporting our team to continue to grow and expand our IG programme. In preparing for the next stage of our growth we are looking to increase and diversify our income. This will mean working with a range of key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that IG is a key part of our fundraising future. What you ll do Coordinate, in collaboration with other internal teams, all planned direct marketing appeals using a range of channels to time and budget to help shape and develop the IG programme in line with organisational objectives. Create and build synergy with key stakeholder teams across the organisation to ensure that supporters are at the heart of all communications to provide a strong experience and engagement with Bloodwise. Support the IG manager in working the Insight and Database team to maximise opportunities. Produce and circulate top line reporting, including key statistics for relevant projects and make recommendations on segmentation and hierarchy based on segmentation analysis. Proactively make recommendations to improve direct marketing campaigns in order to increase income and cost efficiency. Coordinate a programme of UK-wide legacy events to raise awareness amongst a range of core audiences to increase the number of legacy intenders, pledgers and notifications as part of the legacy marketing strategy.

4 Work closely with the Supporter Care team and wider fundraising team to ensure the effective stewardship of supporters and development of supporter journey. Produce campaign schedules, project plans and check lists involving all relevant stakeholders. Coordinate selection of Christmas card range and branded goods for both online and offline sales and work with the wider marketing team support to promote to key audiences Coordinate sales of events sportswear for online sales working with both the events team and digital team to determine key promotion channels and marketing opportunities. Monitor and maintain all stock levels for retail activity Work with Digital & Creative team on development of shop look, feel and user experience Ensure that a good knowledge of third sector trends and techniques are maintained Key relationships Reports to the Individual Giving Manager The Individual Giving team (Legacy & Supporter Care) Other teams within the Fundraising directorate (Partnerships & Philanthropy, Regional & Events). Creative & Digital, Insight, Media, Research & Patient Services Proactively engages with all Bloodwise supporters and staff Our kind of Individual Giving Officer That s why we re looking for a passionate and experienced Individual Giving Officer to support our diverse fundraising work. The IG Officer will support the Individual Giving manager to deliver a range of activities largely across Direct Marketing but also including legacy and retail. We d like you to have these: Has demonstrable experience of Individual Giving and Direct Marketing fundraising Is committed to our vision, mission, beliefs and principles Has strong written and verbal communication skills Pays attention to the details and is able to prioritise work independently Has some knowledge of Legacy marketing and charity retail Has experience of working with external suppliers Has some database and CRM experience

5 Understands the importance of supporter journeys and stewardship Has the ability to be proactive and to effectively problem solve Will be a team player Has the ability to work under pressure and to handle challenging situations And as many of these Good working knowledge of MS Office applications. Good understanding of fulfilment, postage and packing options Marketing and/or fundraising qualification Things we all do Attend and assist at Bloodwise events and activities as required (NB this involves evening and weekend work) Be an effective ambassador for Bloodwise at any activity you attend Develop an in-depth understanding of our work Do any other reasonable things your manager needs you to do
