The judge will review the commitment, and make a ruling. If it is determined that services are needed, a sheriff s deputy, will pick the person in need (adult or minor) and take them to the Mercy Emergency Department for medical stabilization and admittance to the Behavioral Med Unit for (72 hours - 5 days), then have a hearing with Judge (in-person) and Judge will review doctor s recommendation to determine if treatment should be mandated (in-patient/ out-patient) See treatment below. 1

(must be 2-3 days clean, if not, present to ER) 5. Community Care o Clinton office o Screen all patients with SBIRT, then refer to SA counselor if necessary o Contracted with CADS for Substance Abuse Services o Co-located CADS Substance Abuse Counselor is able to provide evaluations as needed for Community Health Care patients requesting a higher level of care. o Provide Brief Treatment (up to 12 individual free sessions) o Services are also available at the Davenport Office. 6.
