Overarching Goal: A patient-centered and trusted hub of the IBD community working to improve IBD patients lives at every step of their journeys, being the go-to resource for IBD information and support, driving collaboration, and accelerating treatments and cures.

A Friend of the Foundation partner is a business or family that decides to support multiple events throughout one given year. There are 3 primary reasons why we want to partner with you as a Friend of the Foundation: Research we have invested over $300 million resulting in new and more effective drugs to market, genetic and microbiome initiatives, and earlier diagnosis of disease. We cannot stop investing until we find a cure, and need financial support to continue this critical work. Time we recognize the value of time and want to partner on an annual basis, minimizing our asks while maximizing our partnership. Social Impact 1 in 200 Americans are affected by Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis, with our local Chapter supporting over 50,000 patients. 3 Our Organization: The Crohn s & Colitis Foundation is a national non-profit organization founded over 50 years ago and is the leading charity dedicated to finding cures for Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease). Our Foundation meets the standards of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance, and received an "A" rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy. Last year, 83 cents of every dollar went to research, education & support. We are committed to advancing science towards news treatments and ultimately cures. Our Impact: The Foundation is proud to have invested over $300 million in research, with over $31 million last year alone. We played a key role in every major scientific breakthrough for IBD, from generating data contributing to the development of new therapies, to the discovery of the 1st gene for Crohn s disease. The Foundation funds the highest quality research around the world including local funding at the University of Colorado through the Mucosal Inflammation Program. We are committed to drive efforts to accelerate science from new discover to optimal care. Our Constituents: While previous data in the United States were estimated to be 1.6 million IBD patients, recent research published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows numbers may be 3.1 million IBD patients, including 50,000 in Colorado. That means almost 1 in every 100 Americans lives with these chronic diseases. Each event unites patients, healthcare professionals, corporate partners and community leaders all together for the same purpose. The average age of diagnosis is with the highest increase among pediatric patients.

4 Your Business, Your Community Support for the Foundation = Support for Your Employees The Crohn s & Colitis Foundation conservatively estimates 1 out of every 200 Americans has IBD. This means, on average, a company with 1,000 employees has 5 team members with IBD; a company with 2,500 employees has 11 team members with IBD; a company with 5,000 employees has 23 team members with IBD. These figures do not take into account employees who are affected by IBD through friends or relatives. When viewed this way, the numbers increase dramatically. When you support the Foundation, you support your company by telling employees affected by IBD that you care. The High Price of Chronic Disease Chronic disease directly affects more than half of all Americans. Research estimates that costs to the economy are more than $1 trillion annually. While the personal and financial costs of these diseases are greatest for afflicted patients and their families, there are also tangible, societal costs of chronic illness, including: Medical resources needed to treat these diseases Impact on labor supply resulting in lost productivity and missed workdays Burden placed on long-term economic growth A significant cost of IBD is lost productivity due to inability to work 80% of patients will undergo surgery, which requires a significant loss of work time 20% of IBD patients can no longer work in company settings due to their diagnosis Approximately $111 million in economic revenue is lost each year as a result of missed work due to IBD issues, not including direct medical cost Serving our Constituents: 1,007,000 connections with constituents through education, support and advocacy programs took place in Website: crohnscolitisfoundation.org welcomed 2.7 million visits in 2017 Facebook: The Crohn s & Colitis Foundation Facebook page has 166,000 fans; our local chapter page has just under 1,000 followers, 800 fans on the local Team Challenge and over 600 fans of Take Steps Colorado. The Foundation s Social Media followers grew from 271K to 319K a 17% YOY increase. Twitter: National Crohn s & Colitis Foundation has over 23,000 followers. We have an active chapter Twitter account page and passionate fan base. Social Media: We hosted 12 Facebook chats this year as part of the IBD Help Center s Facebook Live program. Through these chats, we reached 444,937 individuals, an increase of 31%. We also hosted two live video chats, which have received 17,375 views.

5 DENVER DUO CHEF/CRAFT EVENT As a Friend of the Foundation partner, your business or family is recognized at multiple events in one given year. Less meetings means more time for you. This is a unique opportunity to invest in the mission and programs of the Crohn s & Colitis Foundation at a high impact level. This new event will welcome local chefs and distilleries from Denver area who will design a signature dish paired with a local craft cocktail. A celebrity panel of judges and guests will pick their favorite creation for the Judges Choice & People's Choice Awards. Take Steps Walk is a festival for all ages dedicated to IBD patients and their families. It is a celebration for the teams and sponsors. The 2018 Walk takes place at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. It features Live music, Games, Walk at stadium, Food, Vendors, Medical information and more! Interested in running/walking a half marathon? Team Challenge is a training program geared for all athletic levels. Participants raise funds and receive training, support, race entry, and lodging. The team trains locally to travel to great destinations such as Austin, Napa, New Orleans and Saratoga. The annual golf tournament takes place at Pinehurst Country Club, a private country club in Southwest Denver. Join us for 13th annual event on the links with breakfast, lunch, auction, golf contests, drinks & more! This co-ed camp program enriches the lives of children with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis by providing them with a safe and supportive community. This is truly a life changing experience for all campers and volunteers who attend this overnight camp in Colorado. Join us for this annual celebration highlighting the accomplishments of local community leaders. The event moves to Infinity Park in Glendale, CO in 2018 and features cocktails, auction, elegant dinner, inspirational speakers and lots of excitement for the 400 guests. Our annual education symposium allows guests to learn from a variety of medical professionals in an interactive environment. This event includes a variety of topics, a chance to meet others impacted by IBD and a great chance to chat with medical experts. spin4 crohn s & colitis cures is an indoor cycling relay where a team of 1-4 riders participate through this inspirational workout at CycleBar in Littleton, CO. The event features great instruction, exhibitor booths and lots of excitement for all the participants.
