3 ABOUT CADTH CADTH is an independent, not-for-profit organization responsible for providing Canada s health care decision-makers with objective evidence to help make informed decisions about the optimal use of drugs and medical devices in our health care system. ABOUT THE CADTH SYMPOSIUM Since 2005, CADTH has hosted an annual Symposium to bring together producers and users of evidence-based information on drugs and health technologies for productive discussions and information sharing. The CADTH Symposium is a must attend event for the health technology assessment (HTA) community in Canada and beyond, attracting a broad spectrum of health stakeholders. As one of the major HTA conferences in the world, the CADTH Symposium offers a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from local, national, and international experts, and to share expertise and knowledge. Now in its 15th year, the CADTH Symposium attracts between 700 to 900 attendees each year, including health researchers; health economists; decision-makers from government, regional health authorities, hospitals, and other health care facilities; university faculty and students; clinicians; the medical devices and pharmaceutical industries; and patient group representatives and the public. The 2019 CADTH Symposium will be held at the Edmonton Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta on April 14 to16, The theme is Supporting Health System Transformation. SPONSORSHIP PROSPECTUS 3

4 BY THE NUMBERS I wasn t sure the CADTH Symposium had anything to offer me, a practising physician participating in HTA for oncology. That wasn t the case. There were many sessions I wanted to attend. I found that the sessions I attended were relevant and engaging. Anticipated Attendance in to 800 attendees. Program Content (based on the 2018 CADTH Symposium): 3 plenary sessions (featuring 16 panellists) 16 workshops 8 breakfast sessions 13 panel sessions 47 oral presentations 81 scientific posters. Social Media (based on 2018 CADTH Symposium): 655 individuals posted more than 2,904 tweets using the Symposium hashtag #CADTHsymp, resulting in more than 9.4 million Twitter impressions. Sponsorship opportunities are not available to commercial entities that stand to benefit financially from the results of CADTH reviews. CADTH reserves the right to decline any sponsorship that in its judgment is not in keeping with the character of the Symposium.
