(All meetings held at Harbor Place) From the President Dave Tucker President Photo by John Kirry Our District Governor made her annual visit to our club on September 26 th. She reminded us that we need to increase our membership in order to provide even more service to our community. At our planning session we scheduled three open houses to inform prospective members about what the Lions do. The first one is at our regular meeting on November 14. Each of us needs to try to bring at least one potential member to that meeting. Just ask! We were also reminded by the District Governor of other areas of service such as environment, diabetes and childhood cancer where we could increase our activity. We will be following up on our ideas from the planning session at the board meeting on October 8 at 10 AM. Please come prepared to share your thoughts and make a decision on the future activities of our club. On October 31 we will be going to the Northwest Eyeglass Recycling Center in Lacey to help clean and sort eyeglasses that will be distributed throughout the world. Please let me know if you will be able to join us. We leave at about 9 AM and are normally home by 2PM. Let s continue to SERVE our community well as we enter the Holiday season.
