Peterborough Rotary Club Service Above Self We meet Mondays at 12:00 PM Peterborough Unitarian Church 25 Main Street Peterborough, NH About Us Peterborough Rotary Club has supported the community for over 90 years. We are a leadership development and service organization right in our community. Our group is made up of thoughtful and caring individuals who happen to be community leaders, local business owners, and local professionals. Many of our members also participate in other local service organizations like the Boy Scouts, Daughters of the American Revolution, Windy Row Learning Center, Monadnock Art X, The River Center, Mariposa Museum, Monadnock Center, just to list a few. Our focus is uplifting and supporting our youth. We accomplish youth support through Rotary Youth Exchange, Scholarships, Camp QUEST, Operation Santa, Four Way Test Speech Contest, and ConVal Interact. We raise funds to support these endeavors through the annual Pancake Breakfast and the Cruz-In. Finally, we support and maintain Rotary-Wilder Park in Peterborough. Globally, we participate in supporting Polio Eradication, Global Clean Water Projects, and Thai Glasses Projects, Website Facebook All are welcome!

Programs we Support Camp Quest Quest (Quality Unlimited Educational Summer Training) is a free summer camp/school for 75 middle school students whose families cannot afford a private camp. Quest is held at Nature s Classroom at Sargent Center in Hancock, NH. Quest offers middle school students an opportunity to maintain their academic skills, and not to fall victim to the summer slide. Quest benefits the entire school: a recent study by the Jaffrey-Rindge School District showed a direct correlation between overall school performance with their three-year Quest program. Quest is co-sponsored by people like you. Half of Quest s cost will be paid by ConVal. The rest depends on financial support from people like you. Please consider a generous gift to create a brighter future for our ConVal students! Cruz-In On the Second Sunday of every month from May through September, join the Rotary in Peterborough s Depot Square for a fabulous and changing collection of antique cars. Drivers of exhibited vehicles will receive discount coupons to are businesses. The event will be held in Depot Square, downtown Peterborough, from 9:00 to 12:00 noon. It is open to all makes and models of vintage or special interest cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles. The event is free to attendees and all are welcome there is no fee to display a vehicle. Participating Cruzers who attend will get a chance at a $25 door prize gift certificate from Kimball's Restaurant. There will be a 50/50 raffle where the winner gets 50% of the proceeds and the rest goes to the Rotary Club for distribution to local charities.
Interact Interact gives students ages the chance to make a real difference while having fun. Every Interact club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Operation Santa The Peterborough Rotary Club s Operation Santa hosts an annual gift drive and inviting neighbors to help make the holidays bright for the area s children in need. The community can make this year s program a success by purchasing gifts of clothing and toys for children of the many families that are struggling to make ends meet this year. Pancake Breakfast Over the past 42 years, generous community support of this traditional breakfast has raised thousands of dollars to support charitable causes in our local community. Thanks to your support, we raised over $8,000 in 2014 to support our charitable activities and contributions: Holiday gifts for local children in need. Our local food banks. Summer Camp scholarships for local children. College Scholarships for local high school students. Teacher of the Year Award Scholarship The Peterborough Rotary Club works closely with the school district to sponsor programs like Operation Santa, Camp Quest, Teacher of the Year, Interact, Rotary Youth Exchange Program, and scholarships. Through fundraisers such as the Pancake Breakfast and the Cruz-In, the Rotary is able to offer two $2,500 to ConVal seniors to support them in their post-secondary plans.
Teacher of the Year The Peterborough Rotary Club sponsors the Teacher of the Year Award to include nominations from the ConVal community. A $1,000 classroom award will be presented to the winner. Youth Exchange Youth Exchange is a study-abroad opportunity for young people who spend anywhere from a few weeks to a full year as an international student hosted by local Rotary clubs. Four Way Test Speech Contest The Four Way Test speech contest is a competition for 9-12 graders. It requires each participating student to create and present a 5-7 minute speech on a subject of their choice, applying the Four Way Test to guide their thinking and their actions. The Rotary Four-Way Test is: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned.

Peterborough Rotary Club Service Above Self Membership Details The Peterborough Rotary Club members value service to our community, camaraderie, supporting our youth, making connections, and fellowship. We value engagement and contribution, not attendance. The Peterborough Rotary Club welcomes anyone with an interest in contributing to the greater Peterborough community. A current schedule of events is listed on our website. The Club meets informally once a quarter for a social event. Meetings are open to the public and guests are welcome. Club members are encouraged and invited to participate in one or more of our programs such as Operation Santa, Camp Quest, Pancake Breakfast, Cruz-In, Four-Way Speech Contest, Youth Exchange and Teacher of the Year. The Club partners with other service organization to support community efforts. Dues are $700 per year. Contact any Rotarian to attend a meeting and begin your membership process!
