1 OKLAHOMA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION June 15, 2015 Dear OSA Member: The Oklahoma Sheriffs Association 2015 Annual Training Conference and Exposition will be held August 10-14, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel and Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK. The conference will feature 24 hours of CLEET accredited training, an exhibit hall with the latest law enforcement technology and time to network with Sheriffs and their employees from across the state. Our 2015 training conference and exposition offers so much that it is difficult to begin highlighting any one event. There will be total of 32 total hours of training designed for Sheriffs, Undersheriffs, Deputies and jail operations. Topics of training will include Below 100, Outlaw Biker Gangs, Legal Update, K9 Operations for the Non Handler, and Social Media for Sheriffs, among others. Exposition 2015 will be comprised of 80+ exhibitors eager to display and demonstrate their products and services. We have set aside all day on Tuesday for you to have ample opportunity to visit with each exhibitor. There will be time for relaxation and recreation at planned events such as the Golf Tournament, Pistol Match, President s Dinner, Sheriffs Appreciation Night, Prayer Breakfast and Spouses Brunch. Some changes worth noting this year: the General Assembly will be held on the first day, Tuesday, where annual business will be conducted, including the election of Officers; there are two registration categories one for full conference and the other for training only. You will find additional information on both registrations included in this packet; the conference will conclude with the Annual Awards Dinner on Friday evening, during which we pay tribute to the outstanding employees of the Sheriff s offices across the state. 3 OSA CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DETAILS The following is details for registration for the 2015 OSA Annual Training Conference. Some events require additional registration forms. Full Conference Registration: The full conference registration cost includes access to all training, the exhibitor show, General Assembly, Prayer Breakfast, Spouses Brunch, Lunches, Dinners, Sheriffs Appreciation Night, and Awards Dinner. Spouse registration is included at no additional cost. Golf and Pistol match registration requires additional forms and cost. Retired Sheriff Registration: The Retired Sheriff registration includes access to all training, the exhibitor show, General Assembly, Prayer Breakfast, Spouses Brunch, Lunches, Dinners, Sheriffs Appreciation Night, and Awards Dinner. Spouse registration is included at no additional cost. Golf and Pistol match registration requires additional forms and cost. You are still responsible for booking your hotel room. Training Registration: The Training registration cost includes access to all training, Lunches, the exhibit show, and the General Assembly, Spouse registration is not included in the cost. Golf and Pistol match registration requires additional forms and cost. Registration does not include access to the Dinners, Sheriffs Appreciation Night, Spouses Brunch, Prayer Breakfast or the Awards Dinner. Awards Dinner Tickets: Additional Awards Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance or during the conference. The OSA will cut off additional sales of tickets on Wednesday, August 12th at 5:00pm. Tickets will be available for pickup during the conference or at the will-call table the evening of the Awards Dinner. If ordering in advance notify the OSA who will be picking up tickets. You must present a ticket to enter the Awards Dinner. Golf Registration: To participate in the Golf Tournament you will need to include, with your conference registration, the enclosed Golf Tournament registration form and the additional fee shown. Pistol Match Registration: To participate in the Pistol Match you will need to include, with your conference registration, the enclosed Pistol Match registration form and the additional fee shown.

4 OSA CONFERENCE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS The following is a general schedule of events for the 2015 OSA Annual Training Conference. Some events require advance registration and are noted below and on the registration form. Monday August 10th OSA Invitational Golf Tournament: 7:00am - 2:00pm This year we have invited all law enforcement and exhibitors to participate in the OSA golf tournament. Check-in begins at 7:00am with a start time at 8:00am. For complete information see the invitational golf registration form Advance Registration Required OSA Pistol Match: 7:00am - 2:00pm The OSA Pistol Match will be conducted by Oklahoma County Sheriff s Office. Check-in begins at 7:00am with competition starting at 8:00am. We will have two hours of CLEET training after the competition. You must be a registered conference attendee, (Sheriff, Undersheriff/Chief Deputy or Deputy), to participate in the pistol match. For complete information see the pistol match registration form Advance Registration Required OSA Information Booth: 1:00pm - 5:00pm The OSA information & registration booth will be open. You may pick up your conference badge, materials and special event tickets. OSA Board Meeting: 4:00pm - 5:00pm The OSA Board will meet prior to the conference opening. OSA General Assembly: 8:00am - 10:00am During the General Assembly nominations and election of officers and board members will take place, along with any other Association business. Chaplains Committee Meeting & Training: 8:00am - 5:00pm Presented by the Oklahoma Sheriffs Association Chaplain s Committee. Exhibitor Show: 8:00am 5:00pm The exhibit hall opens.

OSA Training Session: 8:00am - 5:00pm To Be Announced OSA Chaplains Training Session: 8:00am - 5:00pm OSA Jail Training Session 8:00am - 5:00pm To Be Announced To Be Announced President s Dinner 6:00pm - 9:00pm Presented by the Oklahoma Sheriffs Association and President John Christian. All full conference attendees are welcome to attend dinner followed by our county door prize bingo giveaway. Thursday, August 13th OSA Information Booth: 7:00am - Noon The OSA information booth will be open for you to pick up your conference badge, materials and special event tickets. OSA Training Session: 8:00am - 5:00pm To Be Announced OSA Chaplains Training Session: 8:00am - 5:00pm To Be Announced Sheriffs Appreciation Night : Just a way of showing our appreciation to all of the Sheriffs and their staff. 6:00pm - 10:00pm Prayer Breakfast: 8:00am - 9:00am. Spouses Brunch: 11:00am - 1:00 pm. Friday, August 14th All of the conference attendees are invited to the Prayer Breakfast. Come gather together for a morning of fellowship, guest speakers, and testimonials. Special guest speaker: To be announced.

6 OSA CONFERENCE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS OSA Photo Session: 5:30pm - 7:00pm. The OSA photographer will be available for photos prior to the awards banquet. We ask that all newly elected Officers and Board members have their photo taken to be used in Association publications. OSA Awards Banquet: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The OSA Awards Banquet is always the highlight of the Annual Conference. It provides an opportunity to meet the newly elected President and Board of Directors, and honor award recipients. COUNTY DOOR PRIZES Well it is that time of year again. The 2015 OSA Annual Training Conference & Exposition is fast approaching, and it s time that we get out there and round up those door prizes. As in the past we are needing each of the Sheriff s offices attending the conference to provide at least two door prizes, one for a female and one for a male. If you have a business that is in your community that would like to provide a specific door prize for an event, that would be great. If you need a letter from the Association regarding the non-profit status, please contact the OSA at (405) If possible please attach a business card or tag the donated item so that recognition can be given to those that have donated. As we did last year the door prizes will be given away during the Sheriffs Appreciation Night and the Spouses Brunch. 7 Pistol Match Monday, August 10th, :00a.m. The 2015 Annual Pistol Match will be held at the Oklahoma County Law Enforcement Training Center on Monday, August 10th. Check-in begins at 7:00 am. Competition starts at 8:00am the Pistol Match is designed to test the speed and accuracy of the participants. The competition is divided into 4 classes Sheriff, Undersheriff, Deputy, and the team competition. Awards will be presented to the top three in each class. All participants will shoot with their duty weapon and provide their own ammunition. Participants in the pistol match will need 150 to 200 rounds of ammunition. You must be a current OSA member and a conference attendee to participate in the pistol match. Advance registration and a fee of $25.00 is required to participate in the pistol match. Deadline for registration is July 31st and on-site registration will not be available. Location: Oklahoma County Sheriff s Range 4001 N.
