3 Lions Club International (LCI) LCI is the organizational management part of Lions Largest service club in the world 1.36 million members Over 200 countries and geographical areas Over 46,000 clubs Organized by (highest to lowest) International Multi-district District» Region used to spread the word» Zone used to spread the word» Club Individual clubs are the heart of the organization 3

4 Lions Club International (LCI) LCI provides: International power and forum Resources and resource consolidation Planning Tools Training Website: to learn more about the LCI, not to be confused with LCIF 4

5 Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) LCIF is the charitable part of Lions Restoring sight Providing disaster relief Supporting youth Addressing other humanitarian needs such as health and disability. Tax exempt entity of Lions Club Website: to learn more about the LCIF, not to be confused with LCI 5

6 Lions Club Finances Always two separate accounts in every Lions organization at every level of the hierarchy Admin account Funded by dues or internal fund raising such as drawings Pays for admin expenses such as meetings, conferences, training materials, etc Charitable account Funded by our public fund-raising efforts All monies go to charity except direct expenses Charity money is never, never, never used to pay any Lion person!!!! 6

7 Lions Club Dues Regular member dues is split as follows: International 53% Multi-district (state) 6% District 12-O (our district) 16% Fairfield Glade Lions Club 25% 100% of one-time Entrance Fees and Transfer Fees go to International 7

8 Multi-District 12 Tennessee is a multi-district 12-N 12-L 12-I 12-S 12-O A district should have 1250 members only one Tennessee district currently meets that requirement 8

10 White Cane (District-Wide Project) Fund-raising effort and charity project All monies raised are split as follows: District 12-O Sight Services (48%) Leader Dog for the Blind (25%) Tennessee School for the Blind (8%) Tennessee School for the Deaf (8%) KidSight (5%) Learning Ally (3%) World Service for the Blind (3%) District goal set each year Total amount and per member amount Our club usually gives more than what is raised in White Cane fund-raising effort 10
