Corporate and individual sponsors like yourself ensure that Bridge a Life is able to pursue its vision of, providing for children everywhere so that they are loved in fully equipped families, bringing about restoration and generational change. Bridge a Life is a local 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission of sharing Christ-centered hope with children who have been abused, abandoned, orphaned, or neglected while supporting foster and adoptive families through awareness, training, outreach, and partnerships. We are accomplishing this through a local context in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties, as well as globally in Mpongo, Uganda. Locally, Bridge a Life has strong community partnerships with lead child welfare and adoption agencies, and supports families by filling gaps where services are not available. Ongoing local initiatives include respite care, meal delivery, home improvements, and counseling/support groups. In addition, Bridge a Life offers awareness events and training, helping to generate more safe homes for vulnerable children in our community. Ayinza, which means, God is able, is Bridge a Life s global reach. Ayinza partners with the villagers of Mpongo, Uganda to bring a message of hope while meeting practical needs and enabling the community to care for its own children who are at the highest risk of neglect. Progress is made possible by the full-time Ugandan employee who faithfully serves Ayinza, and is stimulated by the two short-term trips to Uganda that Bridge a Life hosts each year. Ongoing initiatives such as the school lunch program, water and sanitation training, and child sponsorship program offer opportunities to work in partnership with the people of Mpongo. Hope through Christ is shared while simultaneously making progress towards sustainable community development. Whether in our own backyard, or in a remote village in Uganda, we believe in strong partnerships. Working together, we can do so much more. We desire to partner with you as well and we look forward to sharing more about Bridge a Life with you. We sincerely hope to see you at our third annual fundraising event!
