1 What's the Women's Health Centre February 2016 We are a community based, feminist health and well being centre for women only. We provide specialised medical services, psychology and counselling, a range of complementary therapies, a pelvic floor program, massage as well as education and, information sessions and a range of social groups and activities. The majority of our services are low cost or free. the Women's Health Centre Tobacco Free An 8 week support program for women who would like to quit or cut down smoking. NO COST - A free 6 week supply of Nicotine replacement therapy is available When: Thursday s 10.30am 12.30pm Starting 25th February Where: Illawarra Women s Health Centre 2/10 Belfast Ave Warilla Cost: FREE To register please call or info@womenshealthcentre.com.au International Women's Day - Don't make me laugh, sneeze, cough, run or jump. Join us for a fun day with activities and while you here learn how to improve your pelvic floor. Information sessions, entertainment and lunch provided. 2 Gear Up Girl Join us on the Gear Up Girl Bike ride. We will be participating in the 40km Classic Ride. The 40km Classic Ride: Grab your friends, grab your bike and grab a new adventure. This is a comfortable, leisurely ride, ideal for all ages and abilities, the novice & experienced rider. Your adventure starts at Sydney Olympic Park. You will head South along the Cooks River cycleway and make your way to the beautiful beaches and a festival finish at Cronulla. 3 Mothers and Daughters - Puberty Matters Join our three week course to help mothers and daughters understand and deal with changes that take place during puberty and adolescence. By learning together, young women (10-12 years) and their mothers can strengthen their relationship. When: Thursday's 17th March, 24th March and 31st March 2016 Time: 6pm - 8pm (A light supper is provided) Cost: $10 per family to cover costs. To register please call or info@womenshealthcentre.com.au This course is very popular. Enrolment and payment is required before bookings can be confirmed. New Beauty Services A fabulous new beauty service will be starting at the Centre. The service will include threading, waxing, facial and head and neck massage. Prices are very reasonable! And results are fantastic! (we all had a test run..) Available Wednesdays from February 10th. 5 Single Mothers Support Group This is a group in the Illawarra community which advocates for and supports single women and their children, in a non-formal way. This community inspired group brings single mothers together to share ideas, provide social support and create community that goes beyond that of a 9-5pm service. There will be tea and coffee provided. Children welcome and morning tea and activity will be provided. Hot Stone Massage on Tuesday and Wednesday will now be $40 concession/ $50 non concession per hour. Massage on a Thursday and Friday with Linda will remain the same at $30 concession/ $40 non concession per hour.
