2 National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders Dear Members and Friends of NAWHSL, This is such an extraordinary place to hold our conference, the contemporary setting of the Westin, combined with the warmth of Southern hospitality. The modern environment reminds us to look into the future, at how the issues change and evolve, and how our approaches have to evolve also. The warmth will come from within our group as well as the people we meet on the street. Don t be surprised at how many ask you, How ya doin?! Our agenda is packed with PRL s, that is, PEARLS OF WISDOM. This is just a glimpse: Professional Development with a report from the University of Iowa which has the largest driving simulator in North America and autonomous vehicles that can find their way around the entire state of Iowa. Resources Access while we learn from each other and learn about private-sector organizations such as Safe America that are available to strengthen our presence. Leadership Development with our Keynote Speaker, Alexi Carli, the Vice President of Global Safety for UPS, speaking on Leading a Life of Significance. We ll discover how this tall order can become a rational life goal. NAWHSL has been accused of working too hard at conference, so I promise you some downtime too! Friday evening, join us on the 73rd floor for unparalleled, 360-degree views of the beautiful city of Atlanta. Our special rate of $189/night is available until Wednesday, August 1. After that, room requests are subject to availability at the regular room rate. Guarantee your reservation with a credit card. With taxes, the cost is $ per night. NOTE: This special rate is available for three (3) days prior to and three (3) days following the conference so that you can enjoy more of Atlanta. For self-parking, find nearby lots on the hotel website Transportation From Airport The airport is served by taxis, Uber and Lyft. There is public transportation via MARTA, about a 20 minute train ride from the airport to the nearest stop at Peachtree Center, 1/2 block from the Westin. Cost is $6/ round trip.
