2 I d like to share an amazing story with you today... My name is Lucy Ratliffe and I am the wife of Zeeblu CEO Chad Ratliffe, and mother to 5 amazing children. Our second oldest child, Rocco, was born only 11 months after having our first child. We quickly realized Rocco wasn't like our first child. He wasn't reaching his milestones as quickly as we would like to have seen. He wasn't waving or pointing. He didn't start walking until 21 months. After much worry and shuffling him around to different therapist and special schools he was diagnosed with Autism. My husband and I were devastated. We mourned our expectations we had for our son. We felt helpless and quickly realized raising a child who is neurologically unique is not intuitive. We needed help and he needed 1 on 1 attention. We felt blessed that we had teachers and therapists to help us for a few hours a day. But as his mom I felt like I wasn't enough...i didn't know enough...i can t do enough...well, I know I am not alone in feeling overwhelmed. 1 in 68 children, born today, has autism spectrum disorder and 1 in 42 boys has Autism. During the summers my son doesn't go to school and because he requires 1 on 1 attention we would spend a lot of time at home and he would go sit in the car...waiting to go somewhere. I couldn't take him without help. This is the reason we decided to start a summer camp, free, for children with special needs. Rocco can go climb in the car and I can say "ok let's go". For the last 3 years, the Santa Barbara Community has gotten together with ZeeBlu to raise over $40,000 for local charities on Thanksgiving morning. This year, we want to continue the tradition of doubling the number of runners, walkers, babies and money raised. With your help and those that are returning this year, we know we can! We would like to invite you to join us for the fourth annual ZeeBlu Thanksgiving 5K/10K & Family Fun Run! ZeeBlu has established the ZeeBlu for Autism fund, which donates 100% of the proceeds to local children with special needs who want to go to summer camp. The summer camp, for children with special needs, will not only allow a child to attend camp free it will provide another income source to our hardworking teachers over the summer. The mission of this fund is to grow as many weeks of free camp as possible. The camp will continue to grow and support families with special needs as funds develop and grow.

3 The event will take place on November 24th, 2016 at Leadbetter Beach, and will feature a 5K (run or walk!), and a Family Fun Run for children (they will be chasing Zee the blue Zebra mascot from ZeeBlu). Every year the race has doubled in size. Not only will we be raising money for Autism in our community, but we will be raising awareness for this great cause. ZeeBlu and returning sponsors have many of the bases covered, but we need additional sponsors in order to make this the best year yet! 4 What: The ZeeBlu Thanksgiving 5K & Family Fun Run brings together the community on this special day of giving thanks. The 5K is open to everyone! Run, walk, gallop; this will truly be a family event. Where: The event takes place in Santa Barbara s picnic area on beautiful Shoreline Park and Leadbetter Beach. Runners of the 5K will enjoy the scenery of the coastal bike lane down to Calle Cesar Chavez and back. The Family Fun Run will take place at the race s starting line and will be a short sprint chasing our very own blue striped zebra, Zee! When: Thanksgiving Thursday, November 9:00AM (5K) & 9:35AM (10K). The Family Fun Run starts at 10:30. Why: The ZeeBlu Thanksgiving 5K & Family Fun Run has turned into a community race that comes together to give back to those in need. Since ZeeBlu is an Inbound Digital Marketing Agency, we use various platforms and types of media to support local business. In honor of Thanksgiving and all that we have to be grateful for, 100% of the event proceeds will go to kids with special needs so they can go to summer camp. 5 Zeeblu s FREE Special needs summer camp for local children Zeeblu Summer Camp is a FREE week long camp for children with special needs who wouldn t ordinarily get to go to camp. We provide an opportunity to enjoy fun activities designed to enhance a child's life experiences. Your sponsorship provides them the opportunity to experience the joys of summer camp. Which includes the unique staff-to-camper ratios of 1:2, and in some cases 1:1! The Zeeblu Summer Camp will be the highlight of their summer. Seeing the smiles on these children's faces while enjoying a day at the beach is such a special experience. For the families, they get to see their children come home exhausted from all the fun. Often, my non-verbal son Rocco, tries to get in the car and will sit in there. It breaks my heart seeing him trying to tell me he wants to go somewhere. I just can t do it without the help of someone else. This camp gives parents the help they can t always get and allows their child to go have fun.
