2 An Invitation to Sponsor Dear Friend of the American Cancer Society, 13th Annual Benefit of Hope A Season of Gratitude Saturday, November 4, 2017 The Hanover and York County area of the American Cancer Society will hold our 13th Annual Benefit of Hope at the Wyndham Garden York Hotel on Saturday, November 4, Over the past twelve years, the event has raised almost $1.9 MILLION for the Hanover and York County area. The 2016 Benefit of Hope raised over $145,000; making it a very successful year! These funds provide critical research, patient services, education, and advocacy for the Hanover and York County area community. This year s theme will be A Season of Gratitude, and we will reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for including you! This gala affair will include a welcome reception, silent and live auctions, a gourmet dining experience, live music, and dancing. We invite you to join us and become a part of this exciting and rewarding evening by committing to the Benefit of Hope as a corporate sponsor and/or attending with your family and friends. Your support of the Benefit of Hope will sustain the programs and services offered to cancer patients by the American Cancer Society. 3 people received help managing the appearance-related side effects of treatment 191 local patients and their families found help from the Society 59 women received a new free wig York volunteers drove 68 patients totaling 1,200 trips to treatment. 36 women received help with coping with their appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment through Look Good Feel Better 24 individuals received an American Cancer Society Personal Health Manager to help them keep their cancer diagnosis related information organized and portable $145,000 raised by the 2016 Benefit of Hope in York, PA
