2 About Our Club The Rotary Club of Perrysburg was admitted to Rotary International on June 17, It now has approximately 120 members who either live or work in the Perrysburg area. Our club meets at Carranor Hunt and Polo Club every Friday at 11:45am as well as at various social events throughout the year. You may bring a guest to any regular Friday meeting for $15 to cover the cost of lunch. Prospective members may come to a meeting at no charge by informing the sergeant-at-arms. Our club is governed by an eleven person board of directors that are elected each December and take office the following July. Perrysburg Rotary also maintains a 501c3 non-profit corporation called the Perrysburg Rotary Service Foundation. This foundation manages proceeds from our many fundraising activities and distributes grants to many local, regional and international organizations. Here are just a few of the ways we have impacted the world: $200,000 for Rotary Community Park $100,000 for Perrysburg Rotary s Endowed Scholarship at Owens Community College $36,000 to Way Library s Reading Room $27,000 to Bittersweet Farms $25,000 gift to open Perrysburg Area Historic Museum Deborah House orphanage in Romania Construction of Perrysburg Christian United s facility at Grace Church and annual Thanksgiving food and funds drive Funding and assembly of Fort Imagination Playground at Woodland Park Major Donor to Hold the Fort Campaign to establish Fort Meigs Historic Site 2

3 Financial Obligations and Attendance Requirements Financial Obligations (subject to change): Rotary International Dues $57 Club Dues $766 District 6600 Dues $52 Cost of Meals included Total $875 Statements of dues are sent electronically to your primary address in May of each year with payment due by the end of June. An option for semi-annual payment is available. Payments are accepted by check or credit card and should be given to the Treasurer or mailed to PO Box 442, Perrysburg, OH A one-time initiation fee of $45 applies for new members. Other Financial Considerations Members are asked to become sustaining members of The Rotary Foundation with a tax-deductible gift of $100. The average annual cost of participation in club events like our annual charity auction is $200. Each week at our regular meetings we offer an optional 50/50 raffle and a chance to participate in $2 fines. Attendance Requirements The Rotary Club of Perrysburg expects its members to be actively engaged in the life of our Club., which means that as a member of our club, you are responsible for attending at least 50 percent of all club meetings in a six-month period. However Attendance Options If you re unable to attend a meeting, you can make up that meeting by attending a meeting of another Rotary club. For instance, if you re on a business trip, you might attend a Rotary club meeting in another city. Use the club locator at to find meeting locations and times. We also publish the time and location of local club meetings in our weekly newsletter (Rotator) you can find on the table at each meeting. You can also make up a meeting by attending an e-club meeting online. You can find e-club options on the club locator page as well. OR Participation in a Rotary Club of Perrysburg service project, committee meetings, attending a club board meeting, Foundation meeting or District meetings also count as a make-up. If you haven t received copies of all of the publications listed, contact the Membership Director to borrow them from the club library. Complete an online make-up through a Rotary E-club from outside the United States Participate as a Rotary volunteer in a World Community Service/PolioPlus project. 6.
