1 Tuesday 10th June 2003, Conference Centre at Church House, London SW1 At the heart of the Government's priorities for tackling anti-social behaviour is the commitment to provide local authorities, police services and above all, local communities with the power and tools to effectively deal with anti-social behaviour at a local level. Following the recent publication of the Government's Anti-Social Behaviour Bill, this one-day conference will examine best practice in preventing anti-social behaviour at its earliest stages. Implicit in this approach is working with children and their families, tackling environmental crime and a firm approach to enforcement, when necessary. The conference will examine how the statutory authorities can work effectively with local communities and other agencies to deliver progressive and sustainable reductions in anti-social behaviour in their communities.
