2 Hope For The Warriors is pleased to announce the 5 th Annual ASA Run For The Warriors. Run For The Warriors is a unique race dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen. It is a celebration of their strength and resolve and a promise to continue restoring self, family, and hope. The Run For The Warriors race series provides wounded service members encouragement and the opportunity to pursue the sport of running, walking, or cycling to assist in their physical and emotional rehabilitation. Run For The Warriors unites military and civilian community members, connecting and educating each on the importance of embracing their neighbors. The goal of each event is to establish a long term understanding and respect for the needs of local military families. All proceeds from the race will benefit wounded warriors and their families through our many Hope For The Warriors programs. Monies raised will assist with both immediate and future needs. The mission of Hope For The Warriors is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families. Hope For The Warriors is a civilian 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization that has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.

Event Information We invite young and old, military and civilian, runners and walkers to help welcome home and embrace our wounded warriors in this race. The race will commence at 7 a.m. at the Ernest N.

3 Event Information We invite young and old, military and civilian, runners and walkers to help welcome home and embrace our wounded warriors in this race. The race will commence at 7 a.m. at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, located along the bank of the Mississippi River. This inspiring and unique race will bring runners and walkers through the Lower Garden District of New Orleans and along water s edge, ensuring our participants are able to take in a full spectrum of the beauty this historic city has to offer. Race Day Sunday, October 12, 2014 Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Hope For The Warriors and the community will honor wounded service members during the opening ceremony. The race will close with the awards ceremony. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female in each age category, and handcycle winners.
