Techniques for fertilization of spawned eggs will permit students to follow key developmental stages in the progression of the activated eggs under inverted phase microscopy. The goal is simply observing the wonders of this exquisite process in real time. 5

Students will use in vitro technique to activate and stimulate meiosis. At the end of the procedure, students will test the success of the egg activation procedure. Lab Session: Tissue Arrays Students will learn the basic concept of tissue arrays, their design, preparation, uses, analysis, and interpretation. 9
