2 PURPOSE OF TRAINING PROGRAM The purpse f this training prgram is t prvide the necessary academic and clinical training t highly mtivated certified nursing assistants wh are interested in expanding their scpe f practice t that f a medical assistant. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Piedmnth Health Services (PHS) will prvide academic and clinical training t help transitin an individual frm a certified nursing assistant r help refresh medical assistant training. The prgram will cnsist f 3 weeks f academic cursewrk fllwed by 3 weeks f clinical training at PHS PACE centers. Academic cursewrk will be a cndensed frm f Wake Technical Cmmunity Cllege BIO161 Intr t Human Bilgy Curse which is ne f the requried curses t be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). PHS will prvide all the necessary materials and resurces t cmplete bth academic and clinical cmpnents f the curriculum. Trainees just need t bring a psitive attitude, gd demeanr and willingness t learn at a fast pace.
