1 Enclosed are the tissue analysis results for the samples from the greens at Golf Club. The results for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and sodium are reported on a percent dry weight basis. Zinc, copper, iron, manganese, and boron are reported on a part per million basis. The target values for turfgrass maintenance or ranges shown in the right hand column are the desired levels for each element that we have found to comprise a healthy nutrient profile for bentgrass greens. Key Findings: Tissue Analysis /Greens 6, 9, 11, and 18 MAJOR NUTRIENTS: NITROGEN ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) PHOSPHORUS, P ADEQUATE (6, 11, 18), LOW (9) POTASSIUM, K: SLIGHTLY LOW (18), LOW (6, 9, 11) MACRONUTRIENTS: CALCIUM, Ca: ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) MAGNESIUM, Mg: ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) SULFUR, S ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) MICRONUTRIENTS: BORON, B: SLIGHTLY LOW (6, 9, 11, 18) COPPER, Cu: ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) ZINC, Zn: ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) MANGANESE, Mn: ADEQUATE (6, 9, 11, 18) IRON, Fe: SLIGHTLY LOW (6, 9, 11, 18) SODIUM, Na: ACCEPTABLE LOW LEVEL (6, 9, 11, 18)

2 Page 2 Suggested Fertility Inputs for Golf Club Nitrogen: Calcium: Magnesium: Potassium: Phosphorus: Maintain the tissue nitrogen in the 5.0% to 5.25% range on the greens for the spring season. Apply 1/10 to 1/8 pound per thousand sq. ft. per week for routine maintenance. A combination of ammonium sulfate or ammonium thiosulfate along with potassium nitrate is suggested for the nitrogen source on the greens. Apply 2 ounces of foliar calcium per thousand sq. ft. per week. Apply 5 pounds of gypsum per thousand sq. ft. per month to the greens to maintain soil calcium. Apply 2 fluid ounces of a 5% soluble magnesium formulation per thousand sq. ft. per week to the greens. Apply 1/10 to 1/8 pound per thousand sq. ft. per week for maintenance. In addition, apply ½ pound of potassium from a granular source per thousand sq. ft. every 4 to 6 weeks to the greens. Apply 1/20 pound P 2 O 5 per thousand sq. ft. every other week to the greens to promote root initiation and development on the greens. Mono-potassium phosphate ( ) or foliar phosphite (such as ) is suggested. Iron/Micronutrients: A complete micronutrient formulation should be applied to the greens weekly. In addition, apply ½ fluid ounce of a 5% boron formulation per thousand sq. ft. and 1 fluid ounce of a 5% soluble manganese formulation per thousand sq. ft. every other week to the greens. Biostimulant: Apply at label rates. Sincerely, If you have any questions about these results, please feel free to call me at (724) David W. York, Ph.D. Tournament Turf Laboratories, Inc.
