1 PRODUCT DATA SHEET EU1 PRODUCT DATA SHEET Refined White Sugar EU Grade 1 General description Refined white sugar produced by Raffinerie Tirlemontoise corresponds to standard quality for extra white sugar as described by European Directive No 2001/111/EC relating to certain sugars intended for human consumption and as described by the Belgian Royal Decree of March 19 th 2004 concerning sugars. Refined white sugar has been produced according the relevant provisions of Europan Law, governed in particular Regulation (EU) No 178/2002 (laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the food safety authority and laying down procedures in matter of food safety). Refined white sugar complies with the quality Grade 1 sugar as described in Article 32 of the European Regulation (EC) No 952/2006 (laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 318/2006 as regards the management of the Community market in sugar and the quota system). Measurements show that the Water Activity (a w ) values of dry sugar are situated in the range. These values are far below the limit of micro-organisms growth ( ). Therefore dry sugar is considered as a microbiologically stable product that doesn t require further precautions than Good Manufacturing Practices and a dry hygienic storage. 4 Nutrional information The product contains the following ingredients: sugar (according to the European Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 regarding food information to consumers) Nutritional value (100g): Caloric value: 400 kcal / 1700 kj Carbohydrates: 100 g - of which sugar : 100 g No other nutriment or component required by the European Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 regarding food information to consumers are present, or only as traces. Allergens Refined white sugar produced by the Raffinerie Tirlemontoise has no specific obligation to label ingredients listed in Annex II of the European Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 regarding food information to consumers. In particular the SO 2 -content is below 10 mg/kg. GMO The sugar produced by Raffinerie Tirlemontoise is marketable according to the European Regulations (EU) No 1829/2003 and (EU) No1830/2003 on the authorisation, labelling and traceability on genetically modified food and feed and is not subject to a labelling obligation according to these regulations. In case this situation will change, Raffinerie Tirlemontoise will keep its customers informed according to the regulations mentioned above. Storage advice Recommended storage conditions: Ambient temperature (+/- 20 C) Relative humidity 65 % (at 20 C) Avoid temperature differences and contact with wet surfaces. Under the above mentioned conditions sugar retains its specific properties and can be stored for virtually an unlimited period of time. According to the European Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 regarding food information to consumers (annex X, 1d) an indication of the date of minimum durability ( best before / used by date) is not required for solid sugar. Check-ups done by the supplier - Cleanliness trucks - Sampling at departure - Sealing of the silo trucks - Yearly control and approval of all weigh bridges by the metrology Institute, depending of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. 4/5

5 Remarks - All packaging materials used for the sugars produced by Raffinerie Tirlemontoise are materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and comply with the relevant legislations (European Regulation (EU) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 2023/2006 and if applicable: (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food). - For bulk deliveries the supplier will only use silo trucks exclusively used for food products. - The net weight can vary between 25 and 30 T.
