Complete undergraduate core coursework, also known as a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by ACEND Classes include: food and nutrition sciences, foodservice systems management, business, economics, computer science, culinary arts, sociology and communication to science courses such as biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, anatomy and chemistry. 2. Complete an accredited dietetic internship 3. Pass the registration exam 4. Apply for licensure (if applies to your state of practice, Illinois requires) Length of training years
