2 DAF DYNAMIC MULTIAXIAL FIXATOR It is a single plan external fixation tool. The ball-joint structure connects the clamp to the fixator body as an articular structure and allows the final reduction after the implantation of the fixator. The Fixators Schanz screw holder clamps have five slots for the schanz screws. The usage of a template is not obligatory. The indications for the fixator are; long bone fracture, intra-articular, periarticular fractures and pelvis fractures. It is essentially used in acute trauma cases. In some cases if it is needed, it allows joint mobilization. The system allows correction of postoperative reduction. Fixators versatility allows simple angular adjustments. It provides an opportunity to move 30 in all planes. 3 DAF T CLAMP T-Clamp ensures to send schanz screws in a uniplaner configuration to epiphyseal and metaphyseal region. The design of T-Clamp enables to send 5 schanz screws horizontally to the metaphseal region of the bone. It is used for distal/proximal femur and distal/proximal tibia intra-articular besides for periarticular fractures that have enough space for Schanz screw applications. 4 135 CLAMP DAF The holes of schanz screws are angled to 135 to the long axis of the clamp. It allows to send Schanz screws to the femur head through the femoral neck when the fixator body is positioned parallely to the long axis of femur. 5 PILON FIXATOR It is used for the treatment of distal tibial and pilon fractures. Based on the module at the distal of the fixator, schanz screws can be placed into the talus and calcaneus. In case of need, this module also allows to controlled dorsiflexion and plantar flexion motion. C-Clamp (Articulating Pilon Multiaxial Fixator) and Straight are the two different types of Pilon Fixator PILON FIXATOR STANDARD angulation ARTICULATING PILON MULTIAXIAL FIXATOR Used for the treatment of distal tibia and pilon fractures. Schanz screws can be placed into talus and calcaneus with the C-Clamp. If required, this module also allows to controlled dorsiflexion and plantar flexion motion. 7 DOUBLE CLAMP Used for the connection of two different or the same external fixator via the ball-joint structures. For instance, it can be used in the central hip dislocation cases by applying schanz screws to the pelvis and the femur. CODE BARCODE DESCRIPTION TYPE DOUBLE CLAMP DOUBLE DC UNIT (Distraction Compresion) The unit is designed to compress or distract the fracture area. It is composed of one inside threaded cylindrical structure and two legs with threaded rods which are placed into the holes of the camshaft. By turning the unit with allen wrench, the unit shortens or extends according to the turning direction. When the DC unit is turned 360 (a full turn) it enables for 2 mm to shorten or extend. The legs of the unit are placed into the camshafts which are on the fixator and the fixator body locking screw is loosened. The DC Unit is used for compression of the nonunion fracture area or fracture impaction and gradual correction of the deformities. In addition, this unit is used together with the LRS system for bone transport or lengthening. DC Unit has 3 different choices as short, standard and long.
8 HYBRID CLAMP It allows to connect DAF system to Circular External Fixator rings. CODE BARCODE DESCRIPTION HIBRIT CONNECTION CLAMP TEMPLATE It is a template fixator with the same shape as the fixator. It is an assisting instrument that provides the correct placement of the schanz screws. After placing the first schanz screw, the rest schanz screws send through the slots of the template fixator. It helps to find the suitable position over the bone to fix the fracture. It is used for positioning the fixator for allowing the dynamization (shortening). 9 MANIPULATION FORCEPS The manipulation forceps which is optional, can be used for fracture reduction. By holding two clamps with these forceps, the manipula force and control becomes easier.
