PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS: You must commit to attending all 6 cohort sessions You must complete and end of the series evaluation You must complete and sign the attached application OVERVIEW Trauma is getting more attention in recent times, and trainings on trauma are more common. So, what makes this opportunity different from others? My approach to trauma is rooted in social justice values that are grassroots, values the voice and experience of communities, and supports community wisdom to address the challenges experienced from trauma. All trainings are grounded in a "learn, apply immediately" framework that encompass information sharing, a working session, and modeling practices that can be used with children, youth, and families. Community wisdom is gathered after each training session and turned into a TOOLKIT that will serve as a resource on TIYD for participants.
