1 CDC Pink Book Training: Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Austin, Texas Faculty from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention s (CDC) National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases will present a live, two-day comprehensive review of immunization principles, as well as vaccine-preventable diseases and the recommended vaccines to prevent them. The course will cover the most up-to-date immunization information from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) presented by faculty from CDC s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. The course is designed for anyone seeking the most comprehensive and current knowledge of immunization, including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, immunization providers, program managers, and nursing and medical students. Participants will need to have a basic understanding of biology and immunization. Continuing education credits (approximately 14 contact hours) will be available at course completion through the CDC (CME, CNE, CECH, CEU, CPE). 4 ACCREDITATION STATEMENTS: CME: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME ) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this Live Course material for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
