This conference is designed to review current practices in the prevention, recognition of concussions, and management of sportrelated concussions. The conference will benefit health care professionals involved in all levels of care and training, as well as athletes, coaches, and parents. Identify national & local trends involving closed head injury services; 4. Describe the mission of the s Multidisciplinary Concussion Program (MDCP); 5. Illustrate complexities involved with identification and management of sports concussions in game environment; 6. Provide practical approach to evaluation and management of sports concussion in athletic event settings; 7. Explain an athletic trainer s role and responsibilities during sideline assessments and return to play decision making; 8.
