This submissin must als be accmpanied by a letter f supprt frm their WCPT member rganisatin. Suggestins frm WCPT member rganisatins: member rganisatins may suggest s fr the rle f Chair addressing the persn specificatin, which must be accmpanied with a letter f cnsent frm the and current curriculum vitae. Only physical therapists wh are members f a WCPT member rganisatin are eligible t be appinted t the ISC. Chairing the ISC requires cmmitment f time and dependable availability t participate in meetings and undertake activities as required, wrking clsely with and supprted by WCPT secretariat staff. 4 WCPT Cngress 2015 ISC Terms f Reference WCPT Cngress 2015 Internatinal Scientific Cmmittee Terms f Reference 1. Purpse 1.1. T plan the cntent and frmat f the scientific and educatinal prgramme fr WCPT Cngress Membership 2.1. The ISC will cnsist f a chair and at least 7 members, ne frm each f the five WCPT regins, ne nminated by the subgrups and ne nminated by the hst rganisatin The WCPT Executive Cmmittee (EC) is respnsible fr appinting s with the apprpriate knwledge, expertise and standing, aligned t the persn specificatin and selectin criteria In the first instance the WCPT EC appints the chair. The EC and chair then review and agree further appintments All members appinted are accuntable t the WCPT EC and nt t any regin, member rganisatin (MO) r subgrup The hst rganisatin als has the ptin t have a member f staff, r appinted vlunteer, supprting the ISC t prvide a link with the hst rganisatin The WCPT EC reserves the right t appint additinal s as required t ensure that the ISC fulfils its duties WCPT secretariat staff frm an integral part f the ISC and prvide full secretariat supprt acrss all aspects f the wrk. 3. Selectin prcedure fr appinting cmmittee members 3.1. The WCPT EC issues a call fr applicatins/suggestins fr chair f the Internatinal Scientific Cmmittee (ISC) The WCPT EC issues a call fr applicatins/suggestins fr cmmittee members f the ISC Applicatins/suggestins can be submitted by s, WCPT member rganisatins, regins r subgrups, as apprpriate t the categry, in line with the applicatin/suggestin requirements issued by the WCPT secretariat The WCPT EC asks regins t suggest s fr cnsideratin fr membership f the ISC (minimum f 3 names requested). Reginal membership is designed t ensure reginal cverage, but appintments d nt require apprval f the regin The WCPT subgrups review the applicatins/suggestins fr the subgrup psitin against WCPT criteria and suggest 2-3 names fr the ISC all f whm have the supprt f the subgrups, frm which ne will be selected The hst member rganisatin is asked t nminate an fr membership f the ISC. Persn specificatin and selectin criteria 4.1. Where pssible, at least ne member f the ISC will have served a previus term n the ISC f a WCPT Cngress, t prvide cntinuity and experience Membership f the ISC requires cmmitment f time and dependable availability t participate in meetings and undertake activities as required, wrking clsely with and supprted by WCPT secretariat staff Appintments are made by the WCPT EC after cnsidering the criteria and balance f skills and attributes amngst the membership The fllwing criteria are cnsidered in making the appintments t the ISC: relevant internatinal experience and familiarity with WCPT's cngresses, eg previus attendance n mre than ne ccasin, previus presenter, invlvement with planning elements Page 5 f 7

Term f ffice 5.1. The term f ffice will be t the clse f the evaluatin perid f the 17 th WCPT Cngress in Members may be cnsidered by the WCPT EC fr reappintment The WCPT EC reserves the right t replace any member f the ISC wh it cnsiders is unable t adequately fulfil their duties. 6. Specific duties 6.1. Crdinated by the WCPT secretariat, ISC duties include: Set the scientific and educatinal prgramme plicy s that it fulfils the plicies agreed by the WCPT EC Cnsider and review ptins fr a suitable theme and/r prgramme tracks fr the Cngress Plan the cntent f the prgramme t meet diverse internatinal needs while ensuring it is creative and f a high standard. Planning includes: a. develping calls fr presentatins; b. prpsing a range f sessin frmats and cntributrs, eg sympsia, discussin panels, platfrm presentatins, wrkshps, psters and seminars c. appinting and liaising with presenters thrugh the secretariat; d. ensuring that the cntent is attractive t clinicians, educatrs, researchers, managers and plicy makers; and e. ensuring that the prgramme cnstructin prvides cntinuity and chesive prgramming thereby prviding a meaningful Cngress experience fr delegates. Meetings and Methd f Wrk 7.1. ISC wrk will be crdinated and supprted by the WCPT secretariat. It will cnduct its day t day wrk by telecnference, , VOiP and telephne as apprpriate. The full ISC r subsectins may meet face t face as necessary and budget permitting. 8. Finance 8.1. A budget fr the ISC's activity will be develped by the secretariat in cnsultatin with the chair and will be included in the cngress budget Meeting and peratinal expenses f ISC members, if pre-apprved and within WCPT plicy, will be paid by WCPT ISC members registratin fee, ecnmy travel, accmmdatin and per diem csts t attend the Cngress will be funded An hnrarium r payment fr time t undertake ISC duties is nt prvided. 9.
