3 Director s Message Self has immense potential to achieve personal and Professional Excellence -Yes, I strongly believe in imbibing this in action to enrich our lives in the ever competitive globalized era. Psychology and more specifically Positive Psychology insists on positive thinking and positive human behavior, the basic prerequisites for unlocking human potential to achieve physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual and material success. AIPS, offer professional programs in the areas of Psychology, Applied Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology courses in UG, PG, PGDCP, M.Phil & Ph.D. level with the objective of guiding the students to lead a Healthy, Happy, and Joyful& Successful Life in both personal and professional level. Our effort is constantly on to provide hands-on-training experience through Fieldwork/ Summer Internship Programs (SIP) in Education, Health, NGOs and Entrepreneurship sectors. So that the students can successfully use the subject knowledge, acquired skills blended with the right aptitude and positive attitude for the benefit of self, family, work organization and the society at large. 5 About the Institute Amity Institute of Psychology and Allied Sciences (AIPS) is a unique Institute offering regular courses in Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology and Behavioural Sciences. The Institute also offers part time programmes for working professionals. The programmes of the Institute are innovative in their applicability and utility that aims at inculcating broad based understanding towards self and society at large. The vision of the Institute is to make a difference in each individual s life, by helping them unfold their own talents and potentialities. AIPS also conducts training programs for professionals in various organizations. Psychometric testing, Behavioural skills training, Effective behavioural change, Workshops and Publications on Behavioral Science issues are among the other activities pursued by the Institute. The guiding vision and mission of the Institute are: Vision: To make a difference in each individual's life, by helping them unfold their own talents and potentialities. Mission: To provide excellent education at par with international standards to professionally train students who will become Psychologists/ Mental Health Professionals making careers in scientific psychology and scientifically-based professional practices. The emphasis of all psychology programs is on the principles of scholarly excellence leading to analytical skills, inter-disciplinary collaboration, and wide-ranging humanistic services to focus on preventive and curative approaches to promote Positive Mental Health in Society. Thus, creating Critical Work-Force groomed to provide services in various settings namely, educational institutions, government institutes, corporates, primary and tertiary health care settings. 35 Annual Placement Report Amity Institute of Psychology and Allied Sciences (AIPS) is an unique Institute offering regular Courses in the four Major field of Psychology i.e., Applied, Clinical, Counseling, Organizational Psychology along with the part time program for making professionals in the society. To culminate in its broad vision, the institute is endeavoring to make a difference in each individual s life by helping them to unfold their own talents and potentials. The mission is to provide each student excellent education at par with the international standards and to train them to become psychologist, mental health professionals, making careers in scientific psychology and scientifically best professional practitioner. The institute provides the students of both UG and PG level to get on field exposure and training with the help of NTCC (non-teaching credit course), like clinical training, fieldwork, summer internship, observational studies, case studies, term paper etc. The emphasis of all the streams of psychology is on the principles of scholarly excellence leading to analytical skills, interdisciplinary collaborations and wide ranging humanistic services to focus on 3Ps i.e. Preventive, promotive and Positive mental health in society. The institution endeavors to create critical workforce groomed to provide services in various settings i.e educational, government institutions, corporate, NGOs, primary and tertiary health care settings, policy developing institutions at large. Aligned to above, AIPS operates active corporate relationship forums (placement cell) in the Institution. A selected group of students are actively involved in the placement cell continuously, under the guidance of Hon ble Director-AIPS, Placement Coordinator & Faculty In-charge of Placement with the students team. The faculty members are looking after the placement forum activities by giving the students continuous guidance to the aspiring students. Arranging placement orientation activities, guest lectures, and mock interviewing skill training with the help of professionals outside are part and parcel of the placement forum. 36 To review the placement status of the forum, the Institution achieved the overwhelming success of 100% placement in Academic Year 2015, 2016 and A total no. of 44 PG students were campus placed successfully in the year 2015 and further 54 PG students were campus placed successfully whereas 20 students availed Self-Arranged Placements in the year Total no. of 75 students (2016) opted for higher education is different National & International Universities of repute. The Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University (SGT), Promise Foundation, Samvedna, DRTC, Mayoor School, Scottish High School, Autism Center for Excellence, Mother s Pride, Pria Warrick Finishing School, St. Angel s School, Pathways, Pinnacle Mobile Services Ltd., maharaja Agrasen Modern School & V.V. Giri National Labor Institute are some of the leading organizations that come to the Institution for placement purpose. The current status of the forum, the Institution achieved the overwhelming success of 100% placement in Academic Year A total no. of 41 PG students were campus placed successfully whereas 13 students availed Self-Arranged Placements. Total no. of 144 students (2017) opted for higher education is different National & International Universities of repute. Some of the leading Universities are Rutegeurs University-USA, Middlex University-UK, Aston University, MDX London, University of Manchestor-UK, Amity University, Panjab University, National Institute of Mental health & Neuro Sciences, Galgotia to name a few. And total no. of 5 students has cleared NET (National Eligibility Test) from the year to their credit.
