1 Spring/Summer 2014 Future AP Psychology Student: Thanks for your interest in the AP Psychology course. We will be preparing this summer for the class and would like to offer you the opportunity to do the same. The work you will be doing will be useful to you throughout the year and in preparation for the AP Exam in the spring of 2015 because these concepts and psychologists are amongst the ones explicitly mentioned in the College Board standards for the course. Your Preparation: Select either the first or last 150 concepts/people on the following pages (#1-150 or # ). Create 150 flash cards of those important people and concepts. Follow these guidelines: Use 3x5 index cards (either lined or unlined is fine). Handwrite the cards, using pen (feel free to color-code: your brain likes it). Create a cover page card as the first card of your assignment: list your name in the upper left-hand corner and Summer Assignment in the center. Each individual card should be o numbered (use the numbers on the following pages; if you choose the first 150, your cards will be numbered 1-150; if you choose the last 150, your cards will be numbered ) o formatted as follows: FRONT OF CARD: number (top right corner); name of concept or important person (center of card) BACK OF CARD: description/definition of the concept or contribution of the person to the field of psychology For this work, you will receive a summative grade in August that will serve as a great way to start your school year in AP Psychology. If you have questions or need further clarification, or indirect tweet Mr. Southard using the contact information below and he will get back to you ASAP. Cordially, South Forsyth AP Psychology RSouthard@forsyth.k12.ga.us
