5 PROGRAM INFORMATION Eye Institute 2019 Midwinter Retina Symposium: New Horizons in Retina will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Medical College of Wisconsin, 8701 Watertown Plank Road in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. DIRECTIONS is located on the campus of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center in Milwaukee. The Health Research Center building is located on 87th Street, just south of Watertown Plank Road (It is the main entrance of the college). PARKING Free parking is available directly across the street from the college main entrance on 87th Street. TARGET AUDIENCE This educational activity is aimed at practicing ophthalmologists, subspecialty ophthalmologists, fellows, residents, optometrists, medical students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, vision scientists and retina photographers. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Describe the pathophysiology of ophthalmologic diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration in light of new information provided by recent clinical trials. Discuss new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in ophthalmic patient care. Integrate information on quality improvement and advances in stem cell and gene therapy.
