2 GOALS & OBJECTIVES Why You Should Attend: CVI s 4th Annual New Paradigms in Arrhythmia Management focuses on four major areas in the diagnosis and management of patients with arrhythmias and cardiac rhythm disorders: syncope, cardiac resynchronization therapy, ECG interpretation and atrial fibrillation. We have assembled an impressive faculty of internationally recognized thought leaders and regional experts in the fields of electrophysiology and electrocardiographic interpretation for this day long educational initiative. The program agenda highlights: syncope in both the normal and abnormal heart; syncope and driving the medical-legal implications for clinicians; benefits and possible complications of resynchronization therapy; challenges in ECG interpretation; the role of A Fib in stroke; expected outcomes in A Fib ablation; and the changing landscape of novel oral anticoagulants. Target Audience: Cardiologists, electrophysiologists, primary care, emergency, family practice, internal and geriatric medicine physicians, fellow, residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and EP Lab staff who participate in the care of patients with arrhythmias, cardiac rhythm disorders and cardiovascular disease.
