6 ACHIEVEMENTS In 2004 the hospital was first accredited by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), the nation s leading authority for healthcare quality certification. Most notably, SJMC is Malaysia s only private hospital to win the Prime Minister s Quality Award twice in the private sector category (1998 and 2003). It has also won several awards for excellence including two honors from the Institute of Quality Malaysia and the International Asia Pacific Quality Award. This was followed by a Brand Laureate Award for Best Brands in Healthcare representing hospitals in the Asia Pacific region, as well as a Malaysia Branded Service Champion Award, in More recently, SJMC was recognized by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Malaysia for Business Ethics Excellence in 2010 and was then voted by Reader s Digest consumers as 2011 s Most Trusted Brand in the private hospital category.
