The objective of the seminar was to provide the training and information about the latest techniques and research for the management of Tuberculosis.

2 Training on Management of Tuberculosis for Private Doctors under National TB Control Program Memon Medical Institute Hospital in collaboration with Dr. Syed Ghulam Abbas Naqvi (Zonal Tuberculosis coordinator) PTP Sindh has organized a seminar. The objective of the seminar was to provide the training and information about the latest techniques and research for the management of Tuberculosis. MMI Hospital is also participating in the national TB control program and actively contributing in the campaign to eliminate TB from the country. We are offering special discounts on the relevant lab and radiology tests, distributing free medicines and providing prominent space within the hospital. Special Thanks to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah for Repair of Hyder Buksh Gabol Road outside MMIH We wish to express our deepest gratitude to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah for responding positively to the request of MMI Hospital for the repair and complete resurfacing of the road which was never been repaired before on this mega scale. We are very also thankful to Government of Sindh for his action in getting this road paved within a record time period. This road is now facilitating the patients and a large number of local residents and we have heard many compliments about the repair of the road. The patients, their family members and the residents of the locality are happy with the unprecedented rapid reconstruction done just within a few weeks.

3 Catheterization laboratory in MMIH with Latest Bi-plane Angiography Equipment Pakistani population has one of the highest risks of coronary heart disease (CHD) in the world. In Pakistan, 30 to 40 per cent of all deaths are due to cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The CHD deaths in Pakistan have reached about 200,000 per year. That is 410/100,000 of the population. Due to the intensity of the disease, MMI Hospital have established cardiovascular services under the supervision of renowned Cardiologist and former Executive Director of NICVD, Dr. Khan Shah Zaman (MRCP, MRCS,FRCP, FCPS). The department is now offering Non Invasive services including ETT and Echo/Doppler studies. The Invasive services include Coronary Angio and Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty and stenting, Valvuloplasty, and Permenant pacemaker implantation. All the services are performed on latest Bi-plane cardiac cath lab which saves time, radiation dose and contrast media. Thus, this procedure is safer and shorter in duration. We have introduced very affordable packages for the patients, so the large segment of the cardiac patients can avail the facilities. The service was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Razak Diwan, Former Chairman of Memon Health & Education Foundation on April 8, 2017.

4 Visit of Dr. Kaiser Waheed, Chairman Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association A high-level delegation of Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association has visited MMI Hospital. The objective of the visit was to explore the facilities available at this progressive institution and to explore the possibilities of collaboration. It is the fact that large portion of the medical bill comprises of medicines cost. The management of MMIH is always keen to explore every possible means to reduce the medical treatment cost to make it more affordable for the masses. During the event, Mr. Shabbir Kassim, Honorary Chairman of Memon Health & Education Foundation (MHEF) briefed about the mission of the institution and the contribution in the healthcare sector. Dr. Kaiser Waheed, President of Pakistan Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association appreciated the facilities available at MMIH. Mr. Haroon Qasim, Deputy Honorary Chairman of MHEF also addressed the event.
