The 3 Things NOT To Do When You Quit Smoking Here are the 3 common mistakes people make when they try to quit smoking: 1. They think quitting will be hard not true 2. They think they have no willpower false 3. They think they cannot control your cravings 100% wrong I ve spent 17 years working one-on-one with 1,000 s of smokers just like you and I ve heard all the reasons why someone cannot quit. They are mistaken. So, let s take a look at the top 3 reasons and let me show you why those reasons have made it so hard for you to quit in the past. 1. What you ve been told about smoking and quitting smoking There are a ton of myths around smoking and quitting and here s one. Quitting is the hardest thing you will ever do! It s important to understand... you ve been told by your doctor, friends and other smokers, how hard it s going to be for you to quit smoking. That s probably what you ve experienced in the past when you have tried to quit smoking because you were told and you expected it to be hard. In the past, you might have thought: You were going to have horrible cravings You were going to have horrible withdrawals You will be irritable and grumpy You might have even told your friends or family watch out, I m quitting smoking tomorrow and you better stay out of my way because I m going to be grumpy!
Guess what if you have those thoughts in your mind before you even tried to quit smoking, that s probably what you experienced. Let me give you an example what if you were told repeatedly from the age of 6-16 from your parents and other adults that driving a car was going to be the SCARIEST thing that you would ever do in your life because: Cars and trucks will be driving crazy and coming at you from every direction You don t know if the other drivers are drunk and they may slam into you and you ll probably be injured in the wreck It will be dark, animals will jump in front of you and you ll total your car There will be rain, snow and ice and you ll slide off the road and have a terrible accident and you may die You ll always be scared and nervous when you drive, it s the most horrible thing you ll ever do If you were told that, you would be terrified of driving and would be nervous every time you got into a car, wouldn t you? Of course you would, because it would create a negative association with driving. You, like most people, have created a negative association that quitting smoking is going to suck! So, guess what your experience probably has been, it sucked! That does not have to be the case because I ve helped 1,000 s of smokers quit and they never experienced that. I can make it easy for you, just like I have with all my clients. 2. I have no willpower!
When someone tells me this, my response is Really it s takes willpower to smoke! Everyone has willpower, especially smokers. Think about it it takes willpower to spend the money on cigarettes. It takes willpower to stand outside in the rain and cold to smoke. It takes willpower to still smoke even after your friends and family hassle you about your smoking! You have a ton of willpower, right. The problem is that most people don t understand how to tap into their willpower and use in the right way. That s what I ll teach you. I ll teach you how to tap into your willpower; how to transfer that same determination that you have with smoking to becoming a happy, non-smoker for life. 3. This is a big one I cannot control my cravings! This is the second biggest myth that every smoker thinks is true. I know from your past experience it s felt like you have had zero control and the harder you tried not to think about smoking, the more intense your cravings becomes, right.
Every smoker that has walked through my door experienced the same thing. This is why it s so dang hard to quit because the more you try to quit, the harder it becomes, right. I spent 17 years trying to figure this out. Why is it when someone tries to quit, their cravings intensifies to the point that it becomes so terrible that the smoker will give up because it s easier to smoke, than to quit? Here s a secret that I discovered. When smokers try to quit smoking, they are doing it backwards and they accidently INCREASE their cravings! That s right you ve been increasing your cravings on accident. Think about this if you are accidently increasing your cravings; doesn t that mean you have control of your cravings? Yes, it does if you can increase your cravings, that means you can decrease them, but you have to know how to do it! I know it sounds weird because of what you ve been told and have experienced in the past, but it s true. You can control your cravings. I know is true because I see it every day in my clinic with my clients. In Success Module 6, Busting Your Cravings in The Stop Smoking Formula, I m going to walk you through the same powerful step-by-step process that I use in my clinic. It s customizable just for your type of cravings and I ll show you how to do it the correct way. So, you can take control of your cravings, instead of them controlling you! I understand what you might have experienced in the past around quitting smoking. All my clients have struggled with quitting tobacco before they went through my stop smoking program but here s a truth
From my experience of being a pack a day smoker for 10 years and working oneon-one with 1,000 s of clients in my stop smoking clinic for over 17 years, you can quit smoking easily, without any cravings, withdrawals or weight gain once you understand: The little known Lie that has kept you trapped as a smoker Your personal craving pattern and how to bust it forever How to create new positive associations with quitting tobacco and break free once and for all A powerful and proven stop smoking formula Let me make it easy for you.
