1 2017 ANNUAL REPORT Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic CARE. NO MATTER WHAT.

2 After my husband lost his job and with it our health care I felt a lump in my breast. I was only 35 and had never had a mammogram. I didn t even know about clinics but I had heard of Planned Parenthood. They saw me at no charge, found a doctor to do a biopsy, and got me an appointment with a Medicaid coordinator. I had cancer. I firmly believe if not for Planned Parenthood I d be dead. Kim, Mastic, NY 2 PLANNED PARENTHOOD HUDSON PECONIC

3 A Message from Our Chair and President & CEO To say we ve had a busy year is an understatement. During 2017, we opened a state-of-the-art health center in Riverhead, launched a new educational program for young people in Suffolk County about reproductive health care, renamed our Call Center to Patient Relations Center to better reflect the full range of what the Center does, and fought off three attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood. Throughout 2017, we provided health care services to nearly 32,000 individuals in over Vincent Russell and Joan Rosen 54,000 visits in our 10 health centers. These services include birth control, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, HIV testing and counseling, PrEP, annual gynecological exams, breast exams, cervical cancer screenings, HPV vaccinations, prenatal care, menopause management, and abortion services. Additionally, we provided education programs to 14,000 participants in schools and through community partnerships. Our plans for 2018 include continuing to expand our services and improve our patient s experiences through renovations to our health centers in White Plains, Smithtown, and Huntington. We plan to grow our telehealth program in our health centers and are adding gender affirming care to expand our services to the LGBTQ community in our White Plains and Smithtown health centers. The work we do every day would not be possible without your generous support. Following the presidential election in 2016, you came out in force to stand with Planned Parenthood. Those efforts remained strong throughout 2017 and we raised more than $4 million dollars for our health care services, education programs, and advocacy efforts. As you know, the threats to funding for the services we provide continues. We will continue fighting against those attacks to ensure our patients have access to the care they deserve. In 2018 funding through Title X is being threatened, a domestic gag rule has been proposed, and there is an open seat on the Supreme Court. We need you now more than ever. Please stand with us in these fights and continue your support of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic. Joan Rosen Chair Vincent Russell President & CEO 2017 ANNUAL REPORT 3
