Treatment for an estimated 436,043 adult patients for one year of first-line therapy in 34 countries Iron-folic acid (IFA): 1,414 Mil tablets SP (sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine) : 13.1 Million preventative courses for intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy, equivalent to 4.4 Mil pregnant women provisioned with the chemoprevention for all 3 focused antenatal care visits N u t r i t i o n 2017 Key Results Multiple micronutrient powder: 1.178 billion sachets P h a r m a c e u t i c a l s ORS: 99.6 million sachets (13% increase vs 2016) of which 26.1 million ORS sachets was in ORS and Zinc Co-packs Cotrimoxazole: 318 Mil tablets (valued at $3.2 Mil) (63% decrease vs 2016) Zinc tablets: 197.1 million (20% decrease vs 2016) of which, 88.7 Mil Zinc tablets was in ORS and Zinc co-packs Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT): for 18.10 Mil malaria treatments (10% decrease vs 2016) ARVs: Over 56 % of the procured packs were for MICs, chiefly Ukraine, Angola and Uzbekistan Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF): 3,829,740 cartons (52,850 MT), 55 % of which was sourced in programmatic countries Antimalaria: 6.6 Million treatments for seasonal malaria chemoprevention equivalent to 1.66 Mil children provisioned with the chemoprevention Anthropometric equipment: 185,000 packs of MUAC, 44,000 mother/baby scales and 28,500 length/height boards shipped to countries
