INTRODUCTION Inability to conceive after 1 year of regular unprotected sex. In some cases, this definition is expanded to include couples who may conceive but repeatedly lose the baby. About 10-20% of couples cannot have a baby when they want to. Primary: Never conceived. Secondary: Conceived at least once.
In this era infertility due to lifestyle changes is a main problem. The lifestyle which may produce infertility depends upon many factors, various lifestyle and environmental factors may affect human health and be associated with adverse reproductive outcomes.
The cause of infertility can involve one or both partners. For many couples having problems with fertility, the male partner is either the sole or a contributing cause. Problems with female fertility are common as well, but present less often than those in the male partner. In both men and women, multiple factors can account for difficulty with fertility.

Certain diseases like diabetes, thyroid disease, HIV/AIDS, anemia, heart attack, and liver or kidney failure. Overexposure to certain environmental elements such as heat, toxins and chemicals can reduce sperm count. Testicular exposure to overheating. Alcohol and drugs. Substance abuse like tobacco, smoking.
