BIO FYAHBWOY Fyahbwoy introduces dancehall and jamaican contemporary sounds to hundreds of thousands new ears everyday in Spanish-speaking countries. But he is not only a music ambassador but also a hardworker who proves, after a career spanning 10 years, there is always a way to do things as you believe it should be. The story of the birth-named Elan Swan, Fyahbwoy, started as many other great stories, unexpectedly. When he started singing in 2004 in the intimacy his car gave him, no one, not even himself, could have imagined that in a short time he would become the most relevant dancehall artist of his country and many others. With his first demo Ni chance ni try (2006) Fyahbwoy generated an incredible buzz. Those 5 songs run through the net like gunpowder achieving an impressive 90k benchmark for downloads the first year, taking him to a large number of domestic and European stages like Río Loco Festival (Toulouse, FR) or Jamrock Festival (Amsterdam, NL). At that time several majors approached him but Fyahbwoy did the unexpected and decided to go on his own. In a time where few heard about crowdfunding Fyahbwoy started a supporters system that allowed him to self-publish his first album Innadiflames (2009). That year he beat all domestic downloads charts (500.00 downloads) and went from a newcomer to the main exponent of dancehall and reggae in Spanish, travelling across Latin America and Africa. After two intense years in a worldwide tour that took him to Venezuela, Colombia or Zimbabwe i.e., Fyahbwoy released his second record Extremely Flammable (2012). An album made between Spain and Jamaica, and once again funded by his supporters. Extremely Flammable got to number one in itunes Spain charts for several weeks. That record was the confirmation of his music career and he sold out 90% of his tour, in the middle of the toughest economic crisis Spain has suffered. 2
In 2015 he started his last crowdfunding campaign, this time for his third album BL4QKFY4H (2015), setting a new record on Spanish crowdfunding platforms for a music project: 51.000 EUR. BL4QKFY4H was produced by Daddy Cobra and mastered in the prestigious Big Yard studios (Kingston, Jamaica) by Shane Brown. Mike Fuller (Grammy Latino 2013) was in charge of the mastering in Fuller Sound (Miami, USA). In 2016 Fyahbwoy started his tour #FyahTour until these days, where he performances the most sucessful songs of his career. It has taken him again across domestic and international stages, not only Spain but LATAM or China. Last summer marked another turning point in his career, taking the leap to US market hand in hand with the multi-grammy awarded Nacional Records, which has licensed his music for that territory. On March 2018 his forth album F.Y.A.H. will see the light and so will do his tour #FyhTour18. Fyahbwoy has over 110 million views on YouTube and has a Community over 319k on Facebook, 157k on Twitter and 196k on Instagram. 3
