How can you help? You can change a life by donating your new and gently used business & formal wear. Clothing is recyclable, and you can keep one more piece of clothing from entering the land field by donating formal wear to Archie's Promise. CEO Statement Archie's Promise is a 501 (3) organization that began with the simple mission to help individuals and families, whether that help is providing formal wear donations for special needs prom, assisting individuals with attire for interviews and accepting business and formal wear donations then reselling at a discounted price. Archie's Promise reaches out to the community and takes the financial burden off individuals and families when shopping for a business causal, semi-formal, or formal event. In Janaury 2015, Archie's Promise opened a thrift store called the Archie & Idalene Formal Shoppe. As the Founder/Executive Director of Archie's Promise I say to you Archie's Promise is a unique organization changing lives by assisting families and impacting the community through recycling and keeping textile merchandise out of our land field. The organization is named after my late grandfather, Archie Hughes. When I was young, like my grandfather, I promised to be kind and giving toward others. My promise to him grew into Archie's Promise, a local nonprofit organization that recycles donated formal, semi-formal, and business wear to help relieve the financial burden of individuals and families when shopping for a special event. I has a strong passion for improving the organization and conducting business in accordance with federal guidelines. I strive to expand program outreach and development, and take the organization to the next level. 3
