Many factors can increase the likelihood of platelets becoming spiky and hyperactive. These include: Ageing Our body uses nitric oxide to calm platelets and keep blood vessels relaxed. However, the amount of nitric oxide available in our body reduces as we age. Thus, our body s natural cardio protection decreases and needs support. Inactivity Sitting for long hours at the office and the lack of exercise can lead to a drop in Nitric Oxide production. As a result, platelets tend to stick to each other and form clots.

Stress People who regularly experience stress have a high level of cortisol and epinephrine in their bloodstream. This increases the risk of developing spiky platelets that places significant stress on the cardiovascular system. Unhealthy diet Platelets are more prone to turn hyperactive and sticky if our diet is high in fat, sugar and salt. The risk is even higher if we are obese, consume excessive alcohol or smoke heavily. Menopause Menopausal woman have a lower production of Nitric Oxide and a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. Intense training Athletes or active people who undergo high intensity training as part of their workout often activate the body s inflammatory system and cause platelets to become spiky, thus increasing the risk of thrombosis.

High Blood Sugar People with high blood sugar have a lower level of Nitric Oxide than normal, and as such, have a greater risk of cardiovascular disease. High Cholesterol People with high cholesterol are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease. What are the signs of poor blood flow? Good memory & concentration Good coordination & reflexes Quick response to stimulation Constant headaches Feel faint & dizzy Reduced/poor mental clarity & forgetfulness 01. Brain Dementia memory loss, confusion, paranoia Stroke impaired speech, paralysis (partial/full), or death

Good energy & stamina Regular & normal heart rate Feel faint & dizzy Shortness of breath & breathing difficulties Extreme fatigue 02. Heart Palpitations & abnormal heartbeat caused by damage to heart muscles Heart failure confusion, impaired thinking, rapid heartbeat, breathlessness Heart attack may be fatal Good stamina & energy Shortness of breath Rapid heart rate Sharp chest pain 03. Lungs Pulmonary embolism Cardiac arrest & sudden death

Good stamina & energy Few or no allergies Normal glucose level Smooth & healthy skin 04. Liver Poor appetite Weight loss Itchy skin Lethargy Skin allergy Normal blood pressure and heart rate Water retention in face, hands, ankles or feet Constant fatigue Rapid heart rate & lightheadedness 05. Kidneys Kidney (renal) artery disease High blood pressure Kidney failure need for dialysis or kidney transplant

Normal sex drive Hormonal balance Good vitality Low libido & interest 06. Reproductive Organs Impotence Warm feet & hands Low incidence of foot ulcer Quick healing of wounds Cold hands and feet Numbness 07. Hands & Legs Spider veins Varicose veins Poor healing of wounds Deep vein thrombosis
