Description The symposium will bring together experienced surgeons and expert faculty from across Europe to discuss and debate complex cases, latest thinking and controversies surrounding shoulder repair. The symposium will be highly interactive with a focus on case discussion and debate, and partcipants will be encouraged to share their knowledge and clinical experiences. The meeting will provide a platform for peer to peer knowledge exchange amongst the group of faculty and participants. Discussions will cover the more interesting and controversial aspects of rotator cuff, instability and managing bone loss and will be split into seven sessions, each led by different faculty expert. Learning objectives By attending this course, participants will be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of the thought processes of different surgeons from across Europe Evaluate different treatment options available for patients with challenging rotator cuff injuries, taking into account patient and pathology related variables. Evaluate different technical options available for patients with shoulder instability, selecting the most appropriate one according to soft tissue and bone situation. Think more openly about the patient with shoulder problems; focusing not only in the specific anatomical injury but also in the patient characteristics and associated problems. Outline the latest thinking and controversies surrounding shoulder repair surgery Participant profile Surgeons who perform a high volume of shoulder repair procedures and have experience of treating complex cases Participants should be keen to share their knowledge and clinical experience Participants should be interested in the practice of their counterparts from across Europe The meeting will be interactive and conducted in English so participants should have an excellent command of the language.
