You will be invited to attend two fundraising workshops where you will get personalized fundraising assistance from professionals. Qualified Team Members Must Commit to: Raise a minimum of $750 to support the efforts of Mass. Eye and Ear by May 19, 2010 or pay the balance in full yourself. Help us achieve a team goal of $275,000. Aim high and you will be amazed at what you can raise! Submit a non-refundable $100 deposit and credit card number upon acceptance to the team. This deposit apply toward your fundraising goal. Paying a BAA race application fee of $130 in addition to the fundraising minimum. Qualified runners must: Meet the designated time standard for their age group in a marathon that follows the guidelines of the Boston Athletic Association. 2010 TERMS AND CONDITIONS qualfied runner (A qualified runner has earned an entry in the Boston Marathon by meeting the BAA s qualifying time requirements, viewable at www.bostonmarathon.org) Fundraising Commitment A $750 minimum donation is required to join Team Eye and Ear as a qualified runner for the 2010 Boston Marathon. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to be submitted along with your application. The fee must be paid by credit card. This fee will be counted toward your fundraising minimum. Valid credit card information must be included with your application to apply for Team Eye and Ear. In the event you do not meet the minimum fundraising requirement by May 19, 2010, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary will charge the balance owed to your credit card. Cancellation Policy You may cancel your participation with Team Eye and Ear for the Boston Marathon, waiving your responsibility for the $500 minimum, any time on or before January 1, 2010. You must contact Kristina Sym at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in writing, on or before the cancellation date. Your $100 deposit is non-refundable. After January 1, 2010, you are responsible for raising or personally giving the entire $750 minimum, even if for any reason, including injury, you are unable to run in the marathon. Donations raised and received by our office will not be refunded, even if you cancel before January 1, 2010. BAA Registration If you are a qualified athlete, the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is NOT responsible for obtaining your official race number. You must apply through the BAA to receive your number. Applications are available online at www.bostonmarathon.org. The BAA charges a $130 fee to qualified athletes that does not apply toward your fundraising minimum. Liability Mass. Eye and Ear is not responsible for injury or death related to training for, or participating in, the Boston Marathon as part of Team Eye and Ear.
