Using Your Robo-Pad Remote Control The Power Button: Once you press the power button the chair will recline to a default position and start a back scan. Make sure you are sitting all the way back in the chair with your head against the pillow. The scan will take between 20 to 45 seconds. Once the scan is complete the auto-program buttons (time, fine, relax, stiffness, air pressure and waist stretch) will start to flash for 10 seconds. During this 10 seconds you can override the upcoming auto Fine program or you can do nothing and the Fine program will begin automatically. We will go over manual programing later. Programs will display next to the time and may read H1, H2, F1, F2 etc. Auto-Program Buttons (All Auto programs default to mid-level intensity) TIME: Time is displayed in the upper left corner. The default is 20 minutes but by pressing the time button you can increase the massage in 5 minute intervals up to 40 minutes or down to 5 minutes. FINE: Will focus in on finer points but give you an overall little bit of everything demo massage. RELAX: Will focus more on kneading and relaxing muscles but still give you a sample of all features. STIFFNESS: Will focus more on tapping and working out the knots but still give you a sample of all features. AIR PRESSURE: Will turn off the back massage programs and provide compression (squeezing) only. WAIST STRETCH: Full body tai stretching in conjunction with a peck stretch.

Getting Comfortable ADJUSTING SHOULDER: The back scan will auto-detect several elements, including your shoulder positioning. During any massage the rollers will not travel above this position. If you would like the massage rollers to travel above or below the scan results (e.g. neck or base of the skull) you can use the up and down adjusting shoulder arrows to pinpoint the stop position of the rollers. Each press will increase or decrease the stop position of rollers by about one inch. The result will be displayed just behind the shoulders in the LCD screen. The rollers will not go higher than this position during auto programs, however you can override this scan point for custom massage (covered later in this guide). SET YOUR PERFERED RECLINE ANGLE: numbered 1-7 above. (Can be used even if the chair is off) 1) Will recline the back and raise the footrest together (press and hold) 2) Will recline the back alone (press and hold) 3) Will raise the back alone (press and hold) 4) Will raise the back and footrest together (press and hold) 5) Will lower the footrest alone (press and hold) 6) Will raise the footrest alone (press and hold) 7) Pre-set positions. (press once, twice or three times) a. Press once - partially reclined mostly upright (default position) b. Press twice half way reclined. c. Press three times recline all the way flat. For taller people, pressing outward with your feet will extend the footrest. For shorter people, raise the footrest further than the default position to bring it closer to you.

Adjusting the Intensity 1) BACK INTENSITY: This will extend the rollers deeper into your back or retract them. This can be done at any time or any point in any massage program. The chair has five intensity settings which will be displayed in the remote screen under Upper or upper body. If you require more intensity you can remove the reduction pad behind the middle section of the backrest. 2) ARM INTENSITY: Controls the squeezing pressure of the hand, arm and shoulder units. There are 3 settings: Press once for low, again for medium, again for high, again for low. Results are displayed in the upper left section of the LCD under Arm. a. Arm Button: Pressing the Arm button will turn off or on all the hand, arm, and shoulder compression functions. Once off, turning them back on defaults to max pressure. (All functions in the above display are set to max for your reference). Any button that is connected to another button by a blue line means those buttons go together. 3) LOWER BODY INTENSITY: Controls the squeezing pressure of the foot, ankle, calf, seat, hip and back simultaneously. These cannot be controlled independently, but rather as a set of body points. There are three settings: Press once for low, again for medium, again for high, again for low. a. Lower body button: Pressing the lower body button once will turn on the foot, calf, back, buttock and hip squeezing (unless a program is already running these features). b. Pressing this button again will turn off the foot/calf but leave the back/butt on c. Pressing this button again will turn on the foot/calf and turn off the back/butt d. Pressing this button a 3 rd time will turn off all lower body functions. Which functions are on or off will be displayed in the mid-left portion of the LCD screen. 4) SOLE ROLLER: Controls the on/off and speed of the 3 spinning foot rollers. There are 3 speeds: Press once for low, again for medium, again for high, again for off, again for on.

Fine Tuning THE MOST IMPORTANT BUTTON WITH NO NAME: Probably because it has so many names. Circled above is the Pointing, Rolling, Partial, Full and Pause button. We ll just call it pointing. Pointing Button: If this is pressed before a body scan has completed, it will pause the entire chair, override the scan and await your next command. 1. If a program is already running, pressing the pointing button will pause all back massage functions and stop the rollers where they are. In the upper right portion of the LCD you will see a small outline of a back with a dot in it. You are now pointing to one spot on your back. (The lower body functions will continue as set by the previous program). a. Using the up/down arrows next to the pointing button (press and hold) you can move the rollers to the exact position you need. A general representation of where the rollers are will display in the LCD screen (adjustments can be small and exact with a quick press of the button). You can add things like tapping, kneading, pushing, as covered later in this guide. 2. Pressing the pointing button again will change to partial rolling or up and down in a 6 area. The display in the upper right will change to an outline of a back with 2 arrows close together. You can still use the up/down arrows mentioned above in the same way. 3. Pressing the pointing button again will change to full rolling, all the way up and all the way down. SPEED: Speed of the massage function. 5 settings: Slower to faster. Speed can be adjusted for most massage movements. Auto programs will have pre-sets that vary in speed depending on the program. WIDTH: Width of the back rollers. There are five settings: Narrow to wide (closer or further away from your spine). You can only use the width setting with rolling, tapping or pointing. When kneading, the width display will not appear in the LCD window.

Adding Features and a few thing you may not know. 1. Shoulder: (Grasping). Actually an independent program based on your body scan. The chair will find and grasp your shoulder area. Can be adjusted by the ADJUSTING SHOULDER buttons. 2. Knead and Tap: (Circular motion and chopping). Can be added to pointing and any rolling. Can be adjusted for speed and back intensity. 3. Knead: (Circular motion). Can be added to pointing and any rolling. Can be adjusted for speed and back intensity. 4. Tap: (Chopping). Two separate patterns. Press once for pattern 1, press again for pattern 2. Can be added to pointing and any rolling. Adjusted for speed, back intensity and width. 5. Shiatsu: (Pushing) Two separate patterns. Press once for pattern 1, press again for pattern 2. Can be added to pointing and any rolling. Adjusted for speed, back intensity and width. 6. 3D: Four separate programs. Press once for knead/push, press again for tap/push, press again for knead/tap/push, press again for knead/tap/push/pattern2 7. Arthrosis Traction: Lower body stretching feature built in to most programs. Hit this button to turn off this up/down motion and the footrest will stay in one place. 8. Heater: This button will turn on or off the heat in the two regions of the back and the four regions of the calf. Heat in the back will be milder than the calf.
