BE A VOLUNTEERS AND SAVE LIVES Who we are Physicians Across Continents (PAC) is an international medical humanitarian organisation that provides high-quality medical care to patients and peoples affected by crises and disasters, regardless of their race, religion and country. PAC-UK aims to do this through the assisting in the provision of medical healthcare equipment, facilities and services. We also aim to advance the education of the public & doctors by the provision of lectures, workshops and publications devoted to medical healthcare.

Why volunteer You will be actively involved in changing the lives of those who are in dire need of medical attention. Find cares and specialized medical centres: This means that your help will raise funds to pay for much needed equipment, facilities, medical staff and post-surgical care. What we do Control and treatment of epidemics and widespread diseases: Contributing to the development of long-term medical plans provide prevention and restrict epidemics and diseases most prevalent in stages along with the process involved in the treatment of common diseases. Disaster relief: Through the adoption of practical activities and undertake relief afflicted in earthquakes, wars, communication and coordination with all factors of commo concern to alleviate the suffering. That s undertaking training programs for medical staff doctors, nurses, technicians to increase there skills so they can provide high level of health care within there communities. Our aim is to also help the less fortunate to reach their potential within the medical field, as we believe that this will increase better medical care within the county that they live. Provide solutions and practical applications to raise the level of health in the communities: These activities are all related aspects of health education and awareness, through the use of seminars, conferences and participation in relevant medical events as well as partnerships with other organisations to carry our message across continents.

Ways to get involved There are many ways to get involved either by volunteering with us to help with events or individual fundraising, so, whatever your strength, there are many options to choose from. You can also get creative with how you want to fundraise, there are no limits as long as you have the ideas. Methods for fundraising Collections You can go to your local community centres, mosques and places of gathering to with collection buckets and even take to the streets or at busy train stations. It's a great way to engage the public and help raise awareness of various issues and campaigns. Just remember to get permission from your local authority or those relevant to where you will be doing your collection. Challenges Set yourself, friends and family some challenges. See how far you can push yourself and accomplish a goal for a cause you believe in. Use this opportunity to motivate others and even be a source of support for their own challenges. Events We would encourage our volunteers to host their own events to help fundraise for their specific chosen campaigns. Events can be held as charity dinners, coffee mornings with local schools/community centres or through bazaars. Charity sale You can organise with those around you to hold a charity sale where you can sell well-loved goods that need new homes to go to or you can do some delicious bake sales. The possibilities are endless. Specialist Support If you have any particular skills or are specialised in a specific field that you believe will help Physicians Across Continents and would like to offer your assistance, then we would love to hear from you. Your specialist knowledge will help Physicians Across Continents to cut costs as well as implement more effective ways to continue and expand our work. This is also an opportunity for you when looking for future employment to have charitable works related to your field as part of your work experience.
