It s a Volunteer Thing! Valley VolunteersChristmas Party Our December 13th meeting, at the Ryan House Museum, is our Christmas Meeting! That one time of the year when we skip the business stuff and focus on festive fun, food and working on our "Step Away From Violence" sock project. We will be ordering box lunches from Sabrina's Lunch in a Box in downtown Sumner, so before Tuesday December 9th, please look at Sabrina's menu online, it is provided as a live link in this article and a simple version of the menu is provided at the end of this newsletter. Decide on what you want and let Vicki know via email or phone. She will give the full list to Sabrina's. There will be coffee, tea and hot cider at the museum, courtesy of our wonderful Keurig. If club members want to bring a dessert, let Vicki know when you tell her your menu choice. All you need to do to be ready! Before December 9th: Let Vicki know your menu choice and if you're bringing a dessert. December 13th: Bring your money for your menu choice to the meeting, check or cash. You need to include sales tax, The rate for Sumner is 8.8% http://sabrinaslunchinabox.net Also at the meeting Nancy Burdick, our GFWC-WS President has been invited to our meeting, so this will be an excellent opportunity to meet and visit with her. Bring lots of new socks to the meeting! Last year our GFWC Valley Volunteers Step Away From Violence Sock Drive yielded a huge number of pairs of socks which were donated to The Crystal Judson Family Justice Center in Tacoma. The center offers safe shelter and support to victims and families of domestic violence. Show your support this year by bringing new socks for women, men, children and toddlers. We will be bagging and labeling them at the meeting. Page 1
